Agreed...I hate leveling, and it's not really necessary if you use decent strategy when fighting. However I do save in doubles, flipping back in forth, just in case I do need to do a little leveling to beat someone.
Although I will admit for example that the end boss in FF6 took me forever to beat with the my level 60-ish characters, while my wife whipped him real quick with all here level 99 guys;)
I think I'm more pissed they're going back to ATB. Don't get me wrong, I loves some old school FFs, but I really liked it when they went to fully turned based in FFX.
Exactly, the sex and violence games aren't "mature" really....their pretty juvenile... I'd say an RPG with a deep and meaningful storyline would be alot more mature than GTA
Someone's probably already said it, but Peter Moore was NOT one of the original designers of the Xbox! lol... he didn't join in the team till right after it launched. He was still working at Sega while the Xbox was being designed;)
...and go set an Xbox besides the original NES, it's not much smaller;)
If you don't want there to have to be a license, you should see about getting something done in the government, not with the licenses themselves. Either that or move to a country without copyright laws;)
I care much more about Ogg being an open and free format mainly...if those of us who care about things like that don't stand up for it and just keep using the stuff that doesn't support it, it never will be supported...
Actually I don't have that "golden" of an ear either...but I sure as hell can hear when a cymbal crash is over compressed....if you just listen to pop and hip hop this might not be a problem for you though...then again, it sounds like music's not a very important part of your life anyway...just some noise in the background.
Once again, I say it's time for you to get off your computer for a minute and live in the real world. Human nature is not a friendly thing...people WILL take advantage of you if you let them. BSD offers no protection to the author nor community, and it greatly stiffles the chances of the software thriving. Sure, there are a few good samaritans out there willing to contribute back, but most people won't do it unless they are forced.
From your current standpoint it probably doesn't matter much. For people who buy those mp3 players that only come with 1GB of space, it probably would. For streaming audio on the internet it makes a huge difference. Ogg Vorbis can go down to extremely low bitrates and sound more than twice the quality of an mp3 at the same rate. Software developers who don't feel like paying for the license fees on Mp3, or Mp3-Pro would probably like it... Oh and when more bands start releasing 5.1 surround editions of their music, Ogg's already built in multi-channel capabilities will be pretty nice...but for sheeple like you, no... who cares right?
I guess that depends on your definition of "talent." The industry execs would call talent the ability to perform as they're told to, while others would call it the ability to create your own music. To bad it's the former that's in charge of things...
I sure as hell wouldn't. The man doesn't live in the real world if he thinks open source will continue to thrive without GPL type licensing... just look at how booming the BSD community is compared to the Linux one...there's a reason for that.
I've got a longer version of my argument here if anyone cares to read it.
The reason is that you can't make a copy of that knife and fork and distribute it to others nearly as easily as you can software. The GPL is there to protect the writers from abuse while at the same time encouraging an open community to form around it... If your project is just for fun, and you dont' want any help working on it, go ahead and release it like that... just don't expect anyone to contribute back.
"I'm sure the various BSD/MIT license advocates, who are "using" the additional rights granted to them under copyright by the GPL to use, say GCC, would love to have a "say" in it. Specifically, they would like it to give free reign for redistribution. Shut your pie hole."
The BSD license is great if you don't want any contributions back from the community, thus defeating the entire point of open source development... I've got alot more to say about this here.
Actually many smaller/independent artists release all, or a large portion of their music for free on their websites...usually at a lower quality of compression, but free none the less... It's a great way to let people hear your music if you don't have the thousand$ to pay for play on the radio;)
This is bullshit! I can't believe a government website would be allowed to make a site only viewable to one brand of browser, and only one OS. Then again, the US Patent office is clearly lacking in the computer skills they need from the kind of shit they've let get copywritten. >:(
I was just about to say the same thing. It's not anti-gun... it is a little against people having automatics, but that's still not the focus of the movie. Bowling for Columbine is an anti fear movie! It's main focus is on how the majority of American violence comes from people acting like dumb scared cattle and not guns...
And for the record, Farenheit 9/11 was a little misleading in some of it's edits, sure...but 95% of the movie is still true. Then again, it barely scratches the surface of the real controversy over if the US gov't was involved in it's planning or not. I would have much rather seen something like "Loose Change" or "911: In Plane Site" in the theaters...
Oh I know it's not that easy with alot of things in our government. We've been perfecting the art of FUD and flat out lies in our own gov't for decades now... Just look at how 99% of Americans still believe we were attacked by Al Quida on September 11th and not by our own government...yes, I'm being serious. The evidence doesn't add up.
C'mon...if someone wanted to know where their one and only power plant was and Google sensored it, I'm quite sure they'd find it through some other means...lol. In the "information age" as they used to call it, secrets and closed policies just aren't feasable anymore.
This really has nothing to do with MS...lol. It could have just as easily said Gamecube or PS2, but the truth is that most of these machinma shows are made with Halo on an Xbox.

Shotgun, check. Foot, check.... ...it still remains to be seen if Nintendo's going to blow it as badly as the other two ;)
This game, made by the same guy, is much much cooler ;)

Where the Sonic the Hedgehog love?
The guy might have been slightly trollish in the apple-cock statement, but I'd personally of modded it funny :P

Nice site...hope it takes off well :)
;)
Although I'd say that a ~128k (q4) Vorbis file is probably the equivalent of 192k or higher in Mp3

They're all fucked up, doesn't matter which one we're talking about this week really...
