> I'm not sure about morality, but it's definately ethically wrong.
All's fair in love, politics and war, dude. The fact is, the opposition got the idea first, and now the other side is crying "unfair" because they weren't fast enough.
I say, tough! In the business world, he who has the better idea and gets it to market first gets the money. This is why it's better to be smarter than your competition. In politics, this is even more true. Election politics is always a contest of wits first, money second. The shrewdest candidate almost always wins.
This is an example of a candidate gnashing his teeth because his opponent thought of something before he did.
That's insanely cheap compared to the Mac IIfx that was priced over $10,000 back in 1990. (40MHz single processor. 128MB of RAM?) Or the Mac Portable which was abour $6000 when first released iirc. And those aren't even adjusted dollar figures.
Of course, if that little email appended to the above linked page is accurate, the IIfx was created to be sold to the US government. If I were Apple, I'd have made it $10K (each) too. Gift horse, mouth, etc.
They've got to keep providing ways to fill up those drives. Most people won't even fill up a 20GB. So they [Apple] shoehorn in some extra functionality that will fill those HDs quicker, which gives incentive to upgrade to bigger capacity units.
Once they work decent gaming functionality into color iPods, they will have a constant, steady stream of repeat buyers. I'd lay money that's the direction they are heading.. this is just one more step towards it.
I totally get this. I carry photos around on my Palm all the time. When I come back from vacation or whatever, I can dump the images to the Palm and then I can show them to folks. As long as it's a very good screen (like the one on my Tungsten|T3) the pictures will show up very well.
I also keep my T3 docked on my desk at work, and use the slide show feature to cycle through photos there while it's not in use. It makes a very appealing digital picture frame. An iPod in its dock, with a good color screen, would serve well in this capacity too.
FWIW, IMHO, IANAL, prices and participation may vary.
KITT has always had pop-up headlights. They did play fast-and-loose with other details of the vehicle however. In some scenes KITT has fog lamps mounted below the headlights (two sets of three) which are on at night, but during the day they are nowhere to be seen. Also in certain camera shots, they show a vehicle with the Cylon light mounted just below the nose of the vehicle instead of between the headlights.. this can be hard to see (the camera is in flight, aimed down at the car on the road) but it's definitely there.
Seeing the show again after all these years (on DVD) is the ultimate guilty pleasure. For a few great laughs, be sure to check out "The Topaz Connection" where even KITT's AI couldn't crack a simple six-character password.
I have to agree.. this is an upgrade of the T|E, not the T3. I personally like the collapseable form factor and I refuse to give up my docks. The whole reason I bought a T3 and not an E was because I much prefer the dock instead of plugging in a cable and laying it down flat in a position that's not easily accessible.
Also, the voice recorder on the T3 is outstanding.
I read something once.. went something like, "The internet interprets censorship as damage and routes around it." [A little online sleuthing informs me this quote is attributed to John Gilmore.]
I interpret DRM as a kind of censorship, therefore, damage.
One reason to put it in the bathroom is, the bathroom is [usually] one of the only rooms in the house with a fan. At least when you don't have time to change the catbox sand, you can circulate the air.
NOT WORK SAFE.. if your job could be threatened by spontaneous outbursts of laughter. Be warned. (I seriously almost broke a blood vessel in my head trying to keep quiet. Great stuff.)
Not yet. In fact, certain congressional Democrats are "very concerned" that putting out these volcano warnings are just Republican scare-tactics. John Kerry (D-Mass) issued a statement this morning saying "Mt. St. Helens is angry, because the earth is angry at President Bush's failed environmental policies.."
Actually I'm waiting for the news of the suicides in Beverly Hills of kkol-aid drinking morons trying to get to the mother ship hidden behind the asteroid.
I'll be your fan too, cause I agree 100% with what you said. Couldn't have said it better meself.
Religion itself is not the problem. Religious intolerance is the problem and the cause of so many wars and terror and evil in the world. If nobody was threatened by what religion other people are, it would be a much more peaceful place to be..
> Glad to see you're not voting for Bush!
Bush? I thought he was talking about Kerry.

Lighter fluid?

I hope you're right, cause then I'll snap one up on eBay when the price plummets and call it a good day.
Oh, six whole gigabytes?
I may pass out.
It didn't fall off.
And she's my ex now, so hey, you are welcome to it ..

I can see why this wasn't modded "flamebait".

Nope, he never will.

Very well said.
There's always 867-5309.
My sister Jenni has used it on many occasions to dismiss would-be suitors. She says most of them dutifully write it down and promise to call.

I'm sick of all these damn hurricanes, honey. Where else can we live?
I want to get as far away from this place as possible. How about Washington?
Works for me, let's go!
> Lets face it. Most people stick with Windows because it's there and it takes effort to get something better
Sounds eerily like the reason most people stay in the relationship they're in.

Social Darwinism at its best.

Wow, you know, that is a great quote. I don't think I've seen it two hundred thousand times already. Thanks for sharing. Again.
