    I'm surprised more emphasis was never placed on Sheldon and Leonard's mothers. Put all four in a room and most people would think Leonard's mother was really Sheldon's and vice versa.

    Which makes me wonder...Did they become friends because they subconsciously saw their own mother in their roommate?

    I think it's sad that we're stepping away from giving kids the books we had when we were young.

    Yeah, there may be digital copies. But having a physical copy with your parent's name imprinted in them by your grandparents will be something sorely missed.

    Two weeks later fires half, "This was only an evaluation period. Here's minimum wage rather than the higher rate the people who are staying are getting."

    A year later the restaurant was closed. According to management, "We couldn't find competent employees to stay."

    According to me, "You fired the wrong half."

    Same here. I'm ever so slowly trying to do the same thing. I make this vegetarian roast that's a great meat substitute. And have continually tried to tweet it so it's more like meat. But nothing matches the sheer audacity of eating fast food every so often.

    And let's not forget employers, mostly restaurants, who hire more people than they need. A new locally owned restaurant did this very thing by touting in the newspaper they were hiring 40+ people.

    A former employee told me, "Only after being fired did we know the first two weeks of work were part of the interview process."

    For the next two months she received a call every time someone quit, "After the fifth call I told them not to call again. And they said with that attitude I shouldn't have applied in the first place."

    One year later - Restaurant closed. Employee mentioned above promoted to supervisor. And then just this week became evening manager.

    I always wondered who they chose instead of her and what they're doing now.
