Yes, but Firefox is so much better that IE (Increasingly Exploited) already. Why should they have anything to do with the beast of Redmond? M$ is the enemy, and will never be acceptable to decent people.
Given that I accept your premise that the private sector are doing it for the money, why do you ask me to accept your first statement?
"OK, all conspiracy theories off to the side. Forget the whole "Getting votes for the Republicn Party" bit. Ignore whatever political motivations may be surrounding Diebold at the moment. Assume that Diebold has no desire to commit or facilitate election fraud."
Would not all these things be ways of making even more money? So why should we think that they are not being carried out?
Ya did.
"See, Longhorn has multiple tiers of visual operation. If you can't handle the effects, it scales back to a lesser tier, going all the way down to an unaccelerated 2D inteface like that of Windows 2000. Aero is the top tier and is supposed to be, according to them, "photorealistic" and will be a new interface for Windows taking advantage of 3D acceleration."
Going "all the way down" to what we have now, versus "photorealistic".
Photorealistic implies "eye candy".
What increased functionality does it have?
They did not spend millions of dollars to develop IE. They rebadged Mosaic. IIRC they also double-crossed the creators of Mosaic by promising them a royalty for every copy of IE that they SOLD!
I look at the Talkbacks submitted by other readers when I go to Linux Today. If they say a story is crap then thats good enough for me, and I do not visit the referred site.
The evidence that blows SCOG's case out of the water, was found on Groklaw within minutes of the details of the Autozone suit being made public. They have not a hope in hell of winning.
That is not the crux of the matter. SCOG distribute NMAP with their products for a reason, it increases their usability, without NMAP their core products have reduced functionality. Another thing that will hurt SCOG is "We have also stopped supporting the OpenServer and UNIXWare platforms."
Bill Gates probably never lies, and Windows probably never crashes.

You Yanks are welcome. You have helped us enough in the past.
It sounds like it comes from the same coders who gave us ORAC.
Yeah. Even then you have the right to break the law, and take the rap.
"Look at DVD Jon and MPAA."
DVD Jon was found not guilty.....twice.
So you are voting to select what we are told is the most powerful man on earth and this process does not merit a sheet of paper to itself?

What compression algorithm do they use to compress a 2.5inch disc into a 1 x 0.8 x 0.8cm cartridge?
They could shut them down.

Its probably just the wind.

Well.. the EU does have WMD's but on past experience it takes years to get the US over here to fight!

I really must be getting old. I don't even know what sascist language is.
Is there a prize?
And the Europeans have WMD, and are putting a GPS in place, and they don't like GM crops.
What kernel functions do you think are kept secret? It is OPEN source.
>The same way you don't read "11" as "one-one" or "onety-one"!!

They sure have fallen from grace now. Nothing but nothing balances this act of betrayal.

It gets serious for SCOG. They are being taken to court in Australia for this same offence. ie deception
Was it a foreign sub?
