    if i know AWS, they will make it so slick and fast and blow away microsoft and ibm in one fell swoop. i did a comparison analysis on aws versus azure and my scorecard much to my friend directors and vps dislike, i went with aws ec2.. let the games begin.

  2. this is just snooping and peeping renamed as AI and Deep Machine Learning. sure, any programming can connect the dots and see that I posted on / . and always earn a score:1 -- because it's not news, so says captain obvious. its just crazy how many sales calls I get helped out by a robo calling computer just listening to my background noise without anyone on the other end saying anything.. odd. true.

    why is it tax dollars are apparently used for their federal stuff to protect their federal stuff rather than the whole country. hmmmm DARPA.. Internet ... made publicly available in 1993.....well uncle sam, you finally got around to it. letting the public use what you so carefully funded for your own gains and the rest of us had to use the Post Office hhmmmm... why is there not a massive FAIL2BAN on every INBOUND .. it would not be that hard and of course, when you get it wrong during account setup there could be some rules there that are impossible to spoof....

    1st, google cloud versus aws & azure -- did someone fall and bump their head.. that is like bing trying to join google and yahoo in the search engine market. no room for a 3rd wheel on that date card. 2nd, 9 mil? really? stepping down over 9 mil? her balloon golden parachute is probably 10x that. 3rd, why is this even an issue.. Do no evil... she did or tried to... alas, TGIF. let's get back to helping the Earth and mankind rather than destroy it by greed.

    seems when I am just surfing the Internet all is fine.. but if I go to YouTube and watch a 14 minute soccer game clip -- quality degradation to the highest and I switch networks to my business network on Allstream | Integra and all is fine. ;-) switch back to Charter and all is bad.. seems funny huh?? oh well, at least I can make out the ball and the players, and the grass is green.. No 1080 or 4K but at least the audio is ok, and the video(s) are jerky... blurry.... just started about 30 days ago... I have noticed... we'll keep an eye on them... they just don't want me to watch too much TV -- I get it...sounds like my parents.

    well said. bravo. now could some of the VPs outside of technology and engineering that cry all the time, and who sit on high, should know this, oh by the way their password is GOD or PASSWORD and you don't need to hack a buffer overflow to know that. ahem.. i digress again. C/C++ is just fine. just have a great test development team that 1/2 is allowed to read the code and the other 1/2 don't... just white and black box in a closed network environment please..

  7. ironically, its a wild wild west our here. i wonder where exactly did the breakdown occur? just reading up on BGP ASNs security and then again that closet in a San Francisco megapop (aka Google) that has no label, no door, no lock, no key -- the black box of sorts. good stuff for Friday read.

    not to be pessimistic and cloudy.... .....and the traffic is hijacked via bad IP routes through another country.. or that closet in the hallway with no label or number in a megapop downtown san francisco where all the fiber comes in and out off.... and voila.. back to square one.. ;-)

    its funny how ass backwards our technology has been rather than how we live in our neighborhoods and walk down the streets. now technology is starting to behave like it should be like.... hey, a stranger someone lives there because the light is on, and don't know who, and what they have... unless i snoop in their mailbox and peep through their windows... no value in anonymous traffic other than traffic in itself.. ads should continue without alot of granular metrics like it used to be, much like tv and the neilsen ratings..... me likey...mikey likes it...

    ironically, the catch phrase "no shit Sherlock" comes to mind for Mr. Gates. The more people, the more poop.     so true. we are just as disposable as the cheap electronics we get now for nearly nothing... what's my value add? -- read my book on staying relevant. I have been at this IT thing for 30+ years and investing in all things. sounds like i converted myself to my own version of IoT...

    the complaint goes likes this when you call any one of them ... "credit report company... -- I want to file a complaint... file a dispute.... for one my lenders.. don't care which one... none of their business anyhow which one...." -- get your report and look for something and more than not, you will actually find an error to dispute anyhow.... i did.. each time .. twice in the last 15 years..

    if you don't know this already, the real credit report is given to you when you file a complaint to your credit report. the one they show you online for free and for paid, is not the same as when you file a complaint and get the "real" data and comments you did not know were there... bankers and lenders see them... and don't tell you because for some reason your credit report in your banks hands right in front of you at the desk they cannot show you... really? yep! really... for some darn reason your very own credit report in their hands right across the desk from you they cannot show you.... yet it has stuff you will never know... odd, but true...

    ...and that my friend is what we call acceptable losses by a government who fails to do anything about something so easy to fix. while they talk about it for years and decades, we as programmers have the power to do something... stop it from happening... turn off the DST feature and go to either UTC or just turn the damn feature off on servers and applications. I vote yes, turn off daylight savings time. I am tired of everyone using it as excuse to be late as well, and credit card systems integration encryption hiccuping..

    i am amused by those that cuss at me for good reason in email or over the phone; if I deserve it, fine, and then those that do for no good reason, they are in deep doo-doo with me and wrath hath no fury as me as a programmer with lots of muti-tasking multi-processing mental super powers // even with ethics applied properly. haha. Linus.. unleash the firehose.. i only yell and scream in two occasions; someone is about to die or the house is on fire and we are in it.
