Argh! Forgot to check for unicode stripping. Corrected.
It is worth stressing that: The City of London is not equal to A city called London, capital of the UK. The City of London Police is not equal to Metropolitan Police, the police force for London.
The City of London is a square mile of land governed by a plutocracy. The actions of their police force does not surprise me.

I believe you will find it in the Magna Carta (MC.29 on http://alexpeak.com/twr/mc/) for an early variation on the concept.
"No freeman shall be taken captive or imprisoned, or deprived of his lands, or outlawed, or exiled, or in any way destroyed, nor will we go with force against him nor send forces against him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land."
While this was originally intended for the nobles, since the emancipation of the masses, I believe it applies to everybody. However, there may be more recent statues that supersede it, such as European Convention on Human Rights.
To be honest, I think the licence fee is worth every penny for Radio 2, 4, 5 Live, 6 Music and the website alone. I'm very happy to pay it for everything.
The European Union is a free trade area so there are import/export duties on goods traded with the zone. There are some businesses who would therefore treat this entire area as one and for them branding themselves under an EU domain would make sense.
A UN domain would never be used for that reason as it is purely political and not economic.
I recently started uni and from what I have seen here, girls are far more into sci-fi and fantasy than boys. I've even got two girls who regularly come to watch SG1 with me and another who is lending me her Firefly boxset in exchange for my BSG.
I think you'll find that the European Space Agency and the European Union are two seperate entities, run by different people, funded in different ways. Whatever fate eventually befalls the EU, ESA should be able to carry on regardless.

It is YouTube's short URL.
My friends invited me with one of these. http://youtu.be/bsdCeiae7Mo
In the comments, he briefly describes the design.

Yes, but don't call me Shirley. I can't believe I just did that.
Well, not entirely.

In my day, we try to not treat women as meat.

Good ol' blighty.

You know if people abuse this, the BBC will consider it experiment failed and cancel the project.
Greed is going to destroy the world.
All you need to do is leave the TV/recording device untuned and unplugged from the arial.
Been done...

Wow. That was passionate. Confusing, slightly self-contradicting and quite frankly plain rude but passionate all the same.
I wonder what makes you feel this way? Please explain your obviously reasoned arguments behind such comments.
You're welcome. What a nice person.
Our version of the FBI, SOCA doesn't have terrorism in its remit AFAIK. That comes under the police services and MI5.
But good point.
Actually they do. There is a public annual general meeting and the government reviews the licence every 10 years.
There is also http://www.unit.org.uk/. Password is pretty obvious if you have been watching the new series... or know JavaScript.
