Man sets entire population of foxes on fire in the woods of California, as he was arrested and taken away by the authorities, he was heard saying "spreadfirefox.com fools, now where's my prize?" The deluded man was promptly beaten with a night stick several times, as he made his way to his new home, the state penitentiary, according to several eye witness reports. PITA arrived on scene, and was outraged by the incident, declaring war on the man. The United States government quickly rose the terror alert level to red, and President Bush later commented "The quick brown fox jumped over the.. uh... damn I forgot it again" confusing the press, and consequently creating havoc on TV stations world wide.
"One thing's for sure... Douglas Adams would be very proud. In the end, that's the greatest success that Robbie Stamp and Spyglass Entertainment and Jay Roach and Touchstone could have hoped for."
It appears that they did have signal problems in the West Coast, but they were trying to get another satellite up to help fix that problem:
"Those slots might be used to expand Voom's limited transmission capacity, to create a backup for the single satellite it launched last year off the East Coast of the United States and to improve its ability to reach the West Coast."
"Cablevision Systems Corp. Wednesday won the bidding for two orbital slots that could help fill a gap in its Voom nationwide satellite TV service.
The two orbital positions would allow satellites to reach mainly the West Coast.
Since Voom launched service in October, its single satellite, whose orbital position is off the East Coast, has been weakest in transmitting TV channels to the West Coast, especially the Seattle and Portland areas."

Check out your local library and see if they're registered with NetLibrary, it's free if your library is registered with them. They have a decent collection of books.
Adobe offers a few free ebooks, both fiction and non-fiction. However, let me warn you, they are DRM'd.
Then there is also the Gutenberg Project as many others have already mentioned.
If you are using MS Reader, then Microsoft offers some free books as well.
Nah, you're just being paranoid. I'm sure no one has the time to "go to websites and impersonate" other people. Have some faith in your fellow man..

I was going to read the article but I was blindsided by the topic. Sorry if I let you guys down.
I trust no one but Sony.
Now there's an honest, reputable, and sincere company!
Works perfectly fine here.
Firefox 1.5 RC3 with WMP 10.
What is the exact problem?
I don't think over-sized USB drives would sell very well.
Think about it, if you had a USB drive that was the size of your car, you'd look really stupid if you lost it.
"Damn! Where did I park my USB drive again?"
The problem with boycotting is that the RIAA will cry "lost profits" and have yet another "reason" to blame and sue people who download music.
Unless done on an extremely large scale, it simply won't work.

Article
It didn't die because it didn't have PVR. It's death could partly be blamed for the internal family conflict between the Dolans.
"Earlier this year Chuck Dolan lost a boardroom battle with his son, CEO Jimmy Dolan, that resulted in the company cutting off funding for Voom. "
and
"In 2004 Voom lost $661.4 million on paltry revenues of $14.9 million, including $354.9 million in write-downs."
