    I'll get modded flamebait for this but it's true. Everyone I know does not give a single f-ck about upgrading for the sake of having the newest, latest, greatest whatever gadget is coming out. Apples 'record sales' are largely symptomatic of a several much bigger problems. Greed, envy, waste, and more. 37 million iphones? with sales up 128% from last year. 15.4 million ipads - also doubled from last year. Apple isnt the only offender but they are tge biggest.

    The public teachers in NYC should take the critique and act upon it to make them better at their jobs.

    You really expect us to believe these evaluations are accurate and unbiased enough to be taken as constructive criticism? Can it be guaranteed that nobody "fudged" the evaluations just because they had a personal problem with someone? As soon as someone's livelihood is trashed by way of false data, it's too late to undo it.

    If it must happen, the data should be anonymized an only be as granular as school district or school itself, not individuals. If a school/district is a problem let the local governing bodies figure out how to bring their scores up.

    only use the ssd partitions where it makes sense. no reason to install the whole OS to the ssd. just mount /tmp or /var/lib/mysql on an ssd slice. use plain old sata raid for the rest.

    A lot of cheap-ass farmers will buy secondhand Monsanto seed from cleaners

    Are you serious? The farming majority are being litigated out of existence because their neighbors Monsanto GMO corn can be cross-pollinated by natural processes (eg: wind, bees, animals). The farmers have _no_way_ to prevent this. How can they be held liable for that?

    Monsanto is pulling sneaky, sleazy copyright sh*t on a bunch of people who are hardly making a living here.
