Pretty much what I do... my whole fire company has had me fixing their computers at some point, I get 10% off at the gas station because I fixed their IT in 2003 (and do tech support every 6 months or so). Quite useful for someone who drives 60 km each day to get to work.
Now sometimes I do charge money, (If I don't see any service that guy can offer as a favor) usually 10/hour for basic errortrapping, price for spyware removal is 50 if I can fix it, 25 if I can't. Format"*" and reinstall of basic programs is also 50.
Also, I give DVDs to my customers that contain the essentials, meaning they are bootable (knoppix), and also contain various windows software (Ad-aware, antivir, zone alarm, open office, firefox, the bat, you knwo, essentials).
Personally, I love gadgety cars... But the price tag is just a wee bit high unless you go hardcore and strap your old Slot-A computer in the trunk.
Nevertheless, kudos to Fiat, Toyota, BMW (drool), and Mercedes... etc.
well... NO.
in a private home, you pay about 10 if you have no TV, but at least one radio. If you have at least one tV, 18. the first car radio costs another 5 or so. Car televisions aren't covered.
But you CAN refuse to pay. Yu go to a TV repair shop, and have a little box instaled in the TV/radio which blocks the chennels used by ARD and ZDF. Thus, you don't hae to pay, since it's impossible for you to recieve their channels.
I do two things: I made a plexi.topped table, with UV Cold Cathodes shining onto the PCBs I had stripped of all 'high' components (capacitators and whatnot), illuminating the highliter-tracing done to every single lead on said PCBs. Gorgeous!.
The other thing was a life-size mannequin built out of computer parts, kinda like the TRON suit, but not suitable for wearing...
The way I see it, TV is more than I'll ever need. It looks quite nice, and it allows me to view cheesy made-for-tv movies featuring sordid affairs and people dying violent deaths thru use of firearms.
No really, TV is TV. We don't need anything better that costs more money, for that we have computers. If I want to watch a movie, I go to the local video store, rent one of the projectors for 5 bucks a pop, plug it into the PC, and there is a movie, in all the colors I'll ever need. I've got 16.7 million of them to choose from, so I'm quite happy:p

It probably uses the same GUI, sans copyrighted parts.
