If you'd bother to read my original post, my hippies remark was targeted at those who used the site. You then said "What does hippies have to do this" so I said "I meant criminals" which leads us to here.

Where does Douglas Engelbart fit into the picture? I think he's a mostly forgotten revolutionary. I like how one article put it: "As early as 1992, while Jobs and Wozniak were still drinking Ovaltine and watching Saturday morning cartoons in their jammies, Engelbart was creating several items of internet to the personal computing crowd that would follow." ~ Mike Tuck, sitepoint.com

Yes, violent video games sell. But you wanna know what? Halo 1 and 2 sucked. GTA series is declining in quality (I know many will disagree with that). Whereas Harvest Moon is actually fun. Mario Kart is fun. Nintendo games are actually fun. You can shrug them off as "Oh, games for little kids with talking bears" but they're fun.

I disagree. Out of all three consoles, GameCube has the best line of games. Most Xbox and PS2 games are simple eye candy games with no story, gameplay, or replay value.

If you have 1000 files on a unix system, and they are all 90% similar, the system should be able to figure out how to store 90% of those blocks in the same space. And manage them so that none are deleted until all references to them are deleted. See Venti.
