    AGW is about two things. Carbon Credits, and putting money back into the hands of all the western oil companies that no longer have possession of much in the way of oil fields.

    Vodaphone makes T-Mobile look like saints.
    I know three people who have received £700+ bills from vodaphone UK for "cancelling their contracts" - that they never asked to be cancelled......
    O2, 3, virgin, orange etc fine.
    But never T-Mobile or Vodaphone.
    How do people not know this yet?

    And for those not in the UK, they've been slamming adverts on TV asking people to join, but we all know its google these days that drive visitors, and they've all but vanished from that.
    Once you factor in attrition I'll give them 12 months left to live.

    I wonder how much of this was a concern for your motives in questioning them, Chinese outside of China certainly have a problem with words they post on blogs being changed as they post them. I'd guess its very similar inside, but the desire to express their plans for a new revolution to people they haven't really met before will be somewhat less.

    This is the same mentality as those fidiots claiming the desktop is dead, as more and more users come online with mobile (mostly Android - Linux) phones. Its the kind of tunnel vision that makes it hard to reply, sorry, the world doesn't end at your front door, it just begins, get out more.

    I believe the commonly excepted symbol for 0.0..1 is dx (an infinitesimal increment)
    So its
    10 x 0.99...
    =
    10 x (1-dx)
    =
    10 - 10dx
    which does not equal
    9.99...

    That is still a 2 dimension number (Scalar x m) until if you map it back to the first dimension (in your case line them all up)

    If you map 10x (0.999...) back to one dimension you get
    (10) - (10 x (0.0...1))

    just like for a map of 10 x 0.9 as:
    10 x (1-0.1) back to one dimension you get
    10 - 1.

    Actually the proof is flawed, because 10a != 9.999.....
    10a has two dimensions
    and 9.999.... only has one.
    e.g.
    say a is 0.999... meters
    then 10*a = 9.999 meters^2
    obviously 9.999... meters is very different from 9.999... meters^2

    I was wondering when I read about the MS v. suit how the hell patents still exist for any phone feature implimented in software. Then I remembered the US has sofware patents.
    Perhaps the long term solution is for innovative companies to just not sell into the US market, its not like anyone in the US has any money these days anyway.
