There are many entertainment services available to the US that aren't available in Canada. For instance, iTunes movie rentals, online network TV episode viewing, etc., Pandora's box (hehehe) are not available in Canada. If the US companies could get their sh!t together and figure out how to sell these services to Canadians, perhaps Canadians wouldn't have to seek entertainment fulfillment through other channels.
Asking this question just after millions of people have had to get out of bed and be fully functional one hour earlier than usual is going to give you a whole lotta no answers!
I personally don't understand why anyone buys movies for $17 when you can rent them for $3. Do movie buyers actually watch them more than once? I wouldn't pay $8 for a movie download; the maximum I'd pay is the cost of a rental, but I'd want it when I want it.
Being self-employed combined with the fact that my shopping cart uses no fuel whatsoever, I'm not affected -- although, the stuff in dumpsters is looking more like actual trash these days.
