I say that this looks pretty cool, and yes there are budget gamers, whilst some spend $500 on a video card, others spend ~$600 on a whole system with reasonable results. It looks like a solid card for doom 3 and that is really all that matters for gamers today.
Ok, what I am not clear on, did he develop this at the company, on the company equipment, while being paid? If so then I beleve that the company may have a stake in it, if not own it all together, BUT if he made this on his own time, and equipment then it is his, just like a metal worker, the company owns what he does in the company shop, but not a widget he comes up with on his day off.
Microsoft selling microsoft, who didnt dee this comeing, they own a news service, and now they have a news search engine, of cource Bill would tie them together.
I use Drudge, yahoo, google, my way, wired, and of course Slashdot as well as some other sources, like broadcast tv and AM radio and I get all of my news for FREE baby.
My family insists on useing IE, I have tried with all of my ability to get them the hell off of it, but they say that "mozilla doesnt work/look/feel like IE" to which I say "yea, and you dont ket hacked/spyed on like IE either." but to no avail. I run SBSD and adaware and find at least 20-30 non-cookie spyware apps every week on the family PC.
How do you convince stuborn parents/sibloings that they are in danger?
I am a n00b, just installed linux last week, The thing I am haveing trouble with is wireless, it seems near impossible to get my hardware recognised, I have recompiled the kernal, re installed, yada, yada, but noi luck.
My point, untill linux is more accepting of hardware, we need a dare i say it, windows like driver installation and setup prosess, linux will never take off on the consumer level while the prosess of updateing less complex and more streamlined.
SMS, to me is a pain in the ass no matter who the message is from, if I want to do text I would buy a blackberry, I have a cell phonr to...um, I dunno...TALK.

This sounds good, now i can get the pesky telemarketing numbers, many of which, in my experiance, still are blocked from caller ID, never mind the FTC and the no call list legislation...
