I'm no longer a debian user, but as far as gentoo:
how long does it take a package maintainer to: - notice bug report for version bump - change filename on the package's.ebuild, or at worst change a few variables - ebuild foo.ebuild digest - submit to portage tree
(I believe this is about how things work, correct me if I'm wrong)
yeah, one of the companies (I forget which, they had several laptops on display) at LWE was showing one off. It was somewhat of a pain to use though, because you had to position yourself in a certain spot for optimal viewing (although there was a bit of leeway, really)
I try to show up for work early mainly because the baltimore beltway is prone to closure/accidents/delays caused by idiots slowing down to read the signs saying there might be delays/etc and on a good day it's a 45 minute hike to work.
Although I ought to stop talking like I'm working right now, considering I'm at college with a 13-credit load...
I work 7:00 until the time known as "whenever the hell I'm at a good place to stop working" which can be as early as 3:00 if I skip lunch, or as late as... well, however long it's legal to work for.
yep, trying to move 10 yards in 8 steps while turned at 40 or so while playing a marching baritone (the oversized trumpet type) will teach you to glide step *very* quickly.
seems to match up nicely with the Latitude I'm on right now (c610)... hdd, pcmcia, power lights, the combo touchpad/eraser mouse, power connector all in the same place
people did (and probably still do) that with mobile XP 2500+'s and such because you could get them up to very high clock speeds even air-cooled due to the low power requirements.

were ALL of the devices attatched to it USB 2.0? IIRC, any 1.x device on the hub and the hub can't use 2.0
the coins would fit well... just not in the g-string itself

Consider yourself lucky.
(fortunately, I'm paid hourly.)
grey goo like the stuff that you get when an oil cooler starts leaking on a diesel engine?
let's try to avoid that crap, thanks. I've dealt with it enough times.
Metallica used to encourage people to bootleg their concerts and distribute it, IIRC.
problem is, the laser joke initiated in the by-line
from the sans-frickin'-lasers dept.

spun a rod bearing, I'd hope...
~x86 isn't really akin to sid -- that'd be the hardmasked packages and -*
dispatch-conf does exist...
There's even a widget in kde's control panel for subpixel font antialiasing (which I'm assuming is what cleartype is)
Not that I bother to use it, since I run at 1600x1200...
... and kill traffic speeds for https traffic as well?
I did, but then I went and wrote a comment in here earlier. sucks, really.
Plus, I managed to botch it. s/anything/everything/. curse being sick.
are they really trying for a 2-year prison term for one (each?!) file?
I don't think it's possible to fit a 11-letter word on a scrabble board without hitting at least one premium spot.

wow. never mind the fact that news.google.com doesn't have any ads on it.
... where gentoo had a default kernel
(can we PLEASE not bring genkernel into this? it sucks.)
actually, it's rather easy. I just wrote up a bit on a few ways of doing it:3

do the technicians for a server farm have a 40-50% statistical chance of having an unnatural relationship with a server at some point?
