    I'd say the time-zone would be more useful than anything else. You don't end up playing time-zone telephone tag with people.

    If you're going to use the billboards, use the ones that scan the IF stage of FM radios and determine which station most people are listening to and set the ads based on that.

    They'll probably use an e-ink display and embed a long life battery in the plate, otherwise you'd have to retrofit a lot of vehicles with power connections.

    April next year actually. They came in in November/December 2007 and have to call the election in the period from 2.5 years to 3.5 years after that. Some say Kev will delay it as much as possible to try to dig himself out of the hole. I think it will only anger the voters.

    It's not really a technical issue. MySQL had a native Windows version much earlier, so the hobbyists could test at home. It's supported by a lot of web hosts and it's where a lot of the apps and docs / books are targeted. That mind-share is hard to beat. MySQL is basically the MS Windows of the FOSS database world. I guess PostgreSQL needs to market itself better and build up the support infrastructure.
