When I started to get the mentioned wrist/hand pains, instead of buying a funky keyboard, I just switched layouts. DVORAK as worked wonders for me, typing is no longer painful and is actually easier....
But then, the learning curve is greater than just buying a new keyboard. Hm.
...Why are the downloads (screen savers - the background stuff is trivial) only for Mac and Windoze? It just would have made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside if they also had a Linux/Unix download section too. But why remember the *nix users, when Gnome/Linux (or some other Unix flavor)/Open Source are the selling points of the film. Sigh.
Hmmm, this has caught my interest. I used to run Renegade BBS Software back in the day. It was not open source, but it was free. Now I aw thinking of setting up a whole telnet-able bbs. I could not seem to find any working Renegade links. Damn.
So does anyone know of any GPL full bbs software for linux that has telnet-able access? I am really looking for something like Renegade or Telegard. I saw Mistic BBS but I do not think it is GPL. Any ideas?
I personally use SuSe and I love it. I think the installation was fairly easy but left enuf room for customization. I used to use RH, and I have tried Mandrake and Caldera. Yes, the Caldera is simple to install, but I had odd problems with it (like it wanted to tell me that LPT1 was on IRQ -1) and I thought it was slow. Same with RH and Mandrake, they both seemed slow on my machine. THen when I put SuSE on (first 6.1 now 6.2) everything went great. It flies and works great. I think that SuSE is a GREAT company and I would definatly back them if and when they go live...
