True, but many do stay in MA afterwards. I can't say for sure about the technology feild, but this does happen in the medical feild (thus MA's high reputation for its doctors).
Prison sentences for non-violent crimes seem like a bad idea from every angle I look at them.
I'd agree with you if it wasn't for the existance of white collar crime. When a corporation steals millions from the American people, I think someone should be doing time for it.
Sure we would have things to rant about: - George Lucas messing up Star Wars - SCO - duplicate articles - the lack of an MS substitute to complain about
Try reading Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom by Cory Doctorow. It should give some hint at least to what the world could be like without MS (ideally, that is).
While this seems to be a good idea in some ways, I can't help but be reminded of those "free speech zones" they command protesters to stay within if they want to protest something. After all, the entire country is supposed to be a free speech zone, and the entire internet is supposed to be open to any form of speech (that is, within reasonable limits).
Eagle from Capcom vs SNK 2 (who was a character in the original Street Fighter) came out of the closet in that game as an openly gay character. Many of his winning quotes in the Japanese version of the game show this. The American version, however, had the quotes changed to not show his sexuality.
Ya, I noticed that just now; its one of those bizzare typos that just works so well that you don't notice it. It's worth the laugh though.

With all those colleges in MA (including MIT), it's not surprising that it's the top state for technology. It's virtually a breading ground for it.
Personally, I'm a bit dissapointed I couldn't find Billiards under either Sports or Games (and, for your information, it should be under "sport").
I have my browser set to reject cookies by default. This thing didn't work for me, so I'd assume they are requiring them to use it.

I think ./ will be fine without MS. I still run my executables in Linux perfectly fine, and MS never touched them. ... Oh, you meant /. ;)

Here's the Google cache.
You should have started that with "I'm a scarecrow."

I'm surprised no one has yet said "Yes, they need more grit- in their pants." Take a bow Slashdot; you deserve one.
With the amount of power Doom 3 might require, some of us won't have the game going any faster on our computers.
