Anyone else notice that rather than trying to prove the worth of Dragon's Lair on its own merits he instead try to prove it by insulting every other game remotely "similar" to it?
Don't Libertarians support big corporations and laxed laws and regulations? I think that would only allow the MPAA and RIAA to screw us over even worse. Sorry, but if I'm voting for any third party, it'll be one that actually tries to make sure big media doesn't subjegate us all, like the Green Party.
I think that even the people who take years on one thing will like this. Forget getting just one PhD in your lifetime; with the right technology, you could get them numbering in more than just the single figures. They may master their favorite field naturally, but if they want to switch to a job in another, they'll have to start from scratch if they don't have the experience for one that's totally unrelated. With the ability to learn so much in minutes, that won't be a problem.
I quit reading computer magazines due to a lack of balance. I don't get why PC Magazine has an article every month on a Microsoft product (even when there's no new MS product that month), and yet rarely has any articles on open source programs. Of course, it's most likely because MS advertises in their magazine, but it still doesn't make it right to make my reading experience any less worthwhile for that reason. And this isn't just in PC Magazine; most of them do this as well.
The artwork doesn't look too different from the recent games. In fact, it's so close that I couldn't help but think that they might have just took screenshots of the game and blurred them in Photoshop (or maybe The GIMP - can't say for sure what they use:) ).
I agree with you on everything except your question of why it is free. It's free because our tax money was spent on it. You and I already own it, because it was created with our money (whether we like it or not).
No. This idiot isn't a liberal at all. Just because someone is against nudity and/or violence in the media doesn't mean they are liberals. This is just a stereotype of liberals; the truth is, both conservatives and liberals pull this kind of stupidity.
Reading through that summary, I couldn't help but think one thing: The first rule of your password is you do not talk about your password.
This kind of reminds me of another novel by Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club): Lullaby. In that novel, everyone's password is "password". The main character manages to break into someone's computer simply on the hunch that that was the password.
Real geeks give their kids names that start with/dev/.

Death by Coffee?

· Score: 1, Insightful
Actually, Fry drank 300 cups of coffee in that episode. Remember, he had $300 from his tax return, and coffee cost $1 per cup.
Also of note is that before he got to that blissful superhuman state he was suffering from the effects of the coffee. It toook the exact 300 to reach it.
* High Taxes (income, property, real estate, car, excise).
A lot of human services are needed in the state. Taxes are needed for those. Luckily, MA has good human services because of these taxes. * Lots of gubmint interference
It's a liberal state; the people expect that, and want it. * High fees for lic, reg, insurance, title, etc. etc.
Once again, txes are needed. * PITA to own a gun for self defense.
It's not impossible to get a gun. The laws are strict, but once again, that's expected in a liberal state. * Outrageous cost of housing
That I'll agree with you on. * 6 months of winter, and the roads are salted so your car will rot out (sheds tear for his decapitated but loved car)
You could go to CA and face the earthquakes, or Florida and face hurricanes, or tornados in the mid-west. Every place has their natural disasters. * Lots of rudeness and Hate (A house for sale near Boston was set on fire by White neighbors when they discovered the people buying it were Black)
That's not a very common problem. It's no more common than anywhere else. * The RMV is staffed by people who actively enjoy being rude and hateful.
Isn't that the RMV everywhere?

Slashdotters don't often RTFA anyways. :P

Is it just me, or does this thing look a lot like a toilet for an outhouse?
Nice Highlander reference. I like how this indirectly suggests that in the end they get rewarded with dying off.
Significant other? This is Slashdot you're talking about. :P
1. Make 2D sprites into pixel beads
2. have fun
3. ???
4. Profit!
For the gamer who enjoys true competition and high replay value, however, there is no substitute for the online experience.
There's also arcades, which used to give the same kind of competition and high replay value. It's too bad those aren't what they used to be.

Jade will be pissed.
Isn't it supposed to be "microserf"? I thought all geeks knew that. :)
"W64.Rugrat.3344", soon to be followed by "W64.Reptar.3344".
My point was that the guy isn't liberal. RTF comment next time.
This is an American liberal?

Bender's line is "kill all humans". It's not exactly the same thing.
... or use the AdBlock extension with Mozilla Firefox. I find it to be more effective than the host file (since it can make more specific blocks).
What is it with people who do not want to come up with an original and new idea, and make good movies?
Welcome to Hollywood. You must be new here.
... you're all free to say "Scuba-Doo, where are you?"
