I believe Firewire was chosen as the dvd standard interconnect some 2 years ago. All the dvd manufacturers are busy meeting that standard. See the Audio Revolution article.
Maybe they could commission Apple to come up with an anti-spam idea. Once its nearly a standard, then MS could usurp it as their own, then it will be a great idea that MS came up with.
He actually did a mv placed everything in the/tmp directory, then forced the finder to quit and restart itself... when that happened you ended up with a fresh brand spanking new desktop. (everything was deleted). When you try to recover the data, your able to get everything back but all the files are useless because he uses the new feature in 10.3 secure empty trash to prevent you from recovering the files. He made sure you couldn't recover the data either.
Brutal and most likely illegal.
Actually the Grateful Dead were one of the most prolific bands ever. They made all there money on merchandise and live performances and they did it for close to 30 years. Not only that, but most of their music is freely traded on the internet with no fear of reprisal from any record company. They didn't like the deals they got from record companies and I believe they created their own record company to boot.
