There were plenty of women who drank before prohibition, whether it was wine with dinner or gin anytime. My ancestors were storekeepers during the goldrush in Victoria. Looking through the records there are plenty of references to women buying gin (the most common spirit readily available). We even had the rum rebellion in Austraila, where runm was used as a virtual currency in the NSW convict settlement.

Not arguing that you have cause for complaint if you are being unfairly targetted due to raicial profiling, but ultimately you are being selected because *they* think that you are a potential security threat and deserve closer screening to ensure that you are not a threat.

The women in question were not being selected to be screened because they were perceived as a potential threat (the mandate for screening) they were being selected simply to perve on. This is totally unjustified under any defensible scenario.

I consider myself 'allergic' to strawberries and crustaceans. In the case of the fishy things, I came to this conclusion after the third incident out of three times I tried eating it that resulted in me throwing up for a number of hours shortly after ingestion.

The strawberry thing 'might' be psychosomatic due to persistent doesing with a childrens strawberry flavoured medication as a child which made me ill, but all occasions that I can remember ingesting strawberries - even unknowingly until after the fact, damn mixed berry jam glazes not marked on the packaging - have resulted in migraine and prolonged vomiting. The speed of the reaction is in anaphalxis territory and the required dosage to trigger a reaction is quite low.

I wouldn't have a good idea of whether I've 'grown out of it' simply because I go to great lengths to avoid accidental consumption.

Bethselamin is a fabulously beautiful planet which attracts billions of tourists each year. Unsurprisingly, erosion is a serious concern of the local authorities. Their solution is to calculate the net imbalance between the amount of matter eaten and the amount subsequently excreted by each visitor, and remove the weight difference through amputative surgery. Thus it is vitally important to get a receipt after every trip to the lavatory while on the planet.

One of my class mates brought a (dead) 3m tiger snake into to primary school one day for show and tell. Her mother found it stretched across their driveway the night before and hit it with a shovel.

It's very nice to be hysterical, but let me point out to you that countries like Switzerland don't have such issues. Not only do they have guns, but military grade guns, since most join the militia. Not many people get killed with those guns over there. When every civilian is armed to the teeth, thugs think twice before they break in.

The Swiss also have compulsary millitary service, so people are trained how to handle guns safely and effectively. They are also culturally less anti-authority than Australians. Some of the most cynical anti-government people I know are ex-Australian millitary, most have sharpshooter qualifications.
