some of these games are so rare these days that you'd be hard-pressed to find them on eBay for less than $100 (NES Zelda series, for example, especially the Famicom versions; SNES Mario RPG and LoZ:LttP can garner over $400+)
Doing a quick ebay search I found the NES Zelda, Zelda II, SNES Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario RPG on Ebay all for about $10. Some of them new in box. I'm not sure where you got $400+, Even the famicom versions were no where close to that.
In fact, there was a highly successful and widely used bot in WoW. I actually used it to level a Mage from 1 - 60, and a Priest from 1 - 54, found numerous rare and epic items, paid for my epic mounts, etc. However blizzard has continually updated their bot detection system, to the point where people were getting banned left and right for using the bot. Most people stopped using it a couple months ago, when the programmers of the bot gave up trying to get around Blizzard's detection.
But all classes, including rogues, did work very well, as the bots themselves were mostly open source C# classes written and improved by users.
The bot and underlying functions are now opensource, and be found if you look hard enough.
I'd be happy if they'd just port Ultimate Bet's Poker Software. The only things I play on my PC are Diablo II (which I can use WineX to play) and Poker (via UltimateBet). I tried using wine to play on UB, but they require IE to use their software, I even tried to install IE using wineX, but it didn't like that one bit. So, as it is, i just have to reboot into Windows to play poker inbetween sessions of working on homework.
But does it run linux?

I think throwing a ball at 186 mph would be a bigger feat than this robot catching a slower ball
Do you think they had a human throwing it at 186 mph?
Quote from the article: A woman on eBay is selling "a collection of games and ass.
I didn't get any further. This prize is MINE!
Maybe if slashdot wasn't here, we wouldn't spend half the day reading it, and crunch time wouldn't be needed at all.
