    If you're already in the assumption you can better have no license plate to be able to run red lights, I'd think you are better off without drivers license ;)

    OK, there can be cases you are running a red light but if it gets a normality, things are really wrong or can get wrong on the road in the future!

    I've been thinking lately to write about the situation in Belgium around this; since we are not allowed to create free music *and* think commercial in the same time!

    You release CC+ music? Sorry, you're denied of any royalties of commercial productions you make!
    You release commercial music? Sorry, you're denied of using other licenses to promote your productions!

    It's one vicious circle which never ends .. And it's all exclusivity contracts supported by the government because the people do not know enough how these kind of shady deals get settled.

    I'd might think a president should be chosen for his capacity, to increase both economy and social welfare. As soon there is a possibility for an (hidden) agenda based on their profession, only a few of the trade will win but many will loose ...

    I've got the feeling a lot of people are taking their problems at the leafs instead of the roots, while being satisfied with that.

    Heise Security has been proving before the cordless phones in Europe working with the DECT algorithm are all vulnerable to easy eavesdropping.
    SIM Cards are only smartcards; which can still be copied over with enough funds a/o materials.
    I don't really know if we can rely fully on this...

    He might just have cloned your cards without you knowing it ...

    This is a proof of concept which is very close to an authentication reality disaster ...

    I'm afraid you can't just copy the rfid tag of a passport or a visa card because the serial number is r/o while some parts are r/w (if I'm not wrong);
    Also there is the law of Copyright, which protects passports, travelling documents and even money...

    although you might be able to stuff those databases with "known test cards" ...

    It's quite freightening, soon as rfid can be cloned perfectly, I hope it'd cause the world again to swap to alternative more controlled technologies again.
