The nightmare goes even further when I tried to BUY a official Win98 (SE) UK edition. I have found it after calling 17 different computer stores in Belgium and Holland.
So, Now I have found a official Windows98 (SE) with nifty holographic sticker on the CD, and won't be able to buy another one or I'll have to search again.
This will not only be a problem for Win98, though WinNT, 2000 and other products will also dissapear the same way; In short...
You will be forced to use Windows (e)XP(iration date) because you will not be able to buy a official previous version anymore.
Not this only will be bad, but when Microsoft will only support their eXPire model, Windows95/98/2000 applications will not be made anymore because of lack of support from its own maker.

And what about non-US systems? I am Belgian, what if this program gets on a government PC? What about espionage? What about (foreign) companies where this program gets installed on?
To my opinion, it is illegal to make trojans and viruses and/or to distribute them, why is the government being this *EXTREMELY* bad example?
The last but important question... If this is even allowed.. what will be allowed in the next coming months or years? Are we going to be allowed to walk in our own houses without big-brother watching our backs? or are we going to shower with a camera pointed to our butts?
To my opinion privacy is dieing and that because of terrorists? then I think the terrorists have won a war... because the citizens are all vurnerable to a government snoop whenever they wish so.
I want to feel home and secure in my own home, but if this is all allowed by the government then I would not feel so safe or secure anymore.
I would feel myself watched... I would feel myself insecure... not because I would do illegal things, because I am a respectable citizen, but just because I cannot live my own life anymore as I like as human being with mutual respect!

I have bought a Compaq Armada 6500, the "thin" one. I also bought the docking station and the multimedia bay.
The problems I already have with this "expensive equipment" is:
Hinges already broke 3 times
CDROM drive fails
Floppy drive fails
connector of HD was a failure the 1st day
connector of keyboard was a failure the 2nd day
No modem/network card like advertised
Soundcard fails continuesly
Screen cable broke once
I went to Compaq support a dozen times, I had to wait for 8months (!!) before I could get a fix on this laptop. Not only that though I asked for a replacement or another model because my trust in this model is gone-for-ever.
I live in Europe (Belgium) and the current date I am still working with this laptop I have bought for more than 6500US$.
I can pay "more" for another model, that's the agreement between Compaq and me. Currently; one of the hinges is broken again and the second one will follow very soon because of lack of support on the other side.

My last name (voet, so voet.com) is squatted and for sale. My first name is being a "public service" (gunther, so gunther.com) by some company called netidentity.
I really wonder though where they got the name "voet" from, because it is not a US name to my knowledge. Have they been using foreign name-databases and been squatting on those? Maybe did they search on the net for "identities" and found out voet is a last name for a lot of people around here in the country?.
It does not even stop here... If I look at voet.be (in my own country!) I get on a page that is from a organisation "juridical property domainnames". What do they have to do with my last name? These guys are not even reacheable via "contact us" and via their own webpage...
Next to that you can get sued because of three matching letters in your own nickname. Like being sued by the Zurcher Kantonal Bank (ZKB).
The name "ZKBOI" on the web (www.zkboi.com, net, org and.nu) contains "ZKB" what was appearantly too much for them. This nick is already 12 years old and they have their registration for about 6 years.
The case is solved "well" though the name cannot be used to the fullest extend anymore. (or fines need to be paid to them)

I am searching for a good looking, very reliable and easy to use case. In the best case I want to be able to just twitch 2 clips and the harddrive is removed, the same for the floppy drives and all other devices inside the case as well.

There is a very high quality oscilloscope box from Velleman. It has it's own box and probes with software package together in the box.
