Those of us around IT don't always see them regularly, but remember, 16-17% of the population just aren't that smart. I work in IT and I see those people all the time. If you think working in IT means you are generally smarter than other folks, you are one of the 16-17%.
But what is the latency involved in a system like this? Right now I get about 25000kbps and that is plenty for me, but what I really need is reduced latency for real time simulations.
Also, the government doesn't fire people. Once you catch up on the backlog you will be left with a ton of government employees who don't have any real work to do.
I keep seeing the argument that a.xxx tld will more porn easier to find. Do you really think it could be any easier to find porn on the internet? If you think there is a chance that kids can go on the net and surf around and not happen onto porn then you need a reality check. Porn on the net is abundant and easily accessible.
There are reasons.xxx is a bad idea, but "it will make porn easier for kids to find" is certainly not one of them.
Parents like you make kids too selfconsious. If you taught your kids to have a sense of humor about themselves they would have higher self-esteem and a better attitude. I would imagine your children would be mortified if they were in this video, while I can guarantee you that when I was 15 (and I was not popular) if someone posted a stupid video like this with me in it I would have found it funny. If it was a worldwide phenomenon I would have enjoyed every minute of it.
You are ruining your own kids. Your preconceptions become their reality.
I think it is funny how people consider this bullying. I realize the intent is to embarass him, but I've had friends do worse to me than this just for a few laughs. There are kids all over the place doing stupid stuff on purpose trying to get on the exact sites that this kid dominated a few years ago. This guy needs a sense of humor, especially with a crazy name like Ghyslain Raza.
It is important to note that the speed loss described in the article is in single point to single point communication. If you are downloading multiple pieces of a file coming from many different locations (read: bittorrent) you will be able to acheive much higher speeds on fibre as each individual incoming connection travels a seperate path through the connected networks.
There is nothing wrong with how they used "it's" in the article summary. It's completely correct. It's hard to be a grammar nazi correctly when you're only skimming the summaries.
I believe the original settlement was contingent on the fact that the apple name not be affiliated with music creation or distibution. Now that apple makes a great deal of money selling music, they have broken the agreement.
The answer to your question is most likely a large number. (I'm going to ignore the fact that your sentence structure made absolutely no sense and instead respond to the spirit of your post)
I am not old, but I feel the same way. I just don't need the majority of this technology, yet. However, there are a lot of things that people in the world use that I don't need. For example: thong underwear, animal tranquilizers, SUVs, stilts, hangliders, artifical limbs, etc. Just because you don't need it doesn't mean they shouldn't make it, it just means you aren't part of the target demographic. Maybe you shouldn't assume your way is better just because it is better for you.
The reason it was "mind-numbingly tedious" is because it was unnecessary. He was spamming attack commands to level up weapon skills of weapons he doesn't use. He could easily level up weapon skills against mobs that drop gold and items instead, but he chose to go the automated bot route. I have leveled up weapon skills numerous times without being identified as a bot, because I was actually playing the game and not just pressing buttons with my right hand while I watched a movie.
I think permaban is a little extreme with no warning, but he was definetly using automated processes to fight mobs. You can blame this on the fact that "the game is boring", but I would argue that it is simply his chosen way to play that made it boring.
I live my life the opposite way. I see work, chores, eating, and sleeping, as the "waste of time" that I must endure until the next time I can enjoy myself and be entertained.
I would imagine my life would be very sad if I regarded all my time spent away from work as a waste of time.
Keep in mind that whoever accessed the computers unlawfully could have more information than they originally printed in the news. The computers would have to be seized to check for this so further critical information would not be leaked in a later story.
There are other concerns here besides the impending investigation against the newspaper.
Their pleas are kind of ironic actually. They are in trouble for stealing information from government computers and now they are concerned about people having information from their computers.
before the original got bumped from my 8 article rss. That is an impressive new low.

Sorry, had to do it.

There are reasons
People have barely even started using LIFE 2.0, and now you want us to believe that LIFE 3.0 is on the horizon?! This has been happening all week...
Victims of child molestation usually don't like to talk about it.
The vast majority of viruses still specifically depend on users who haven't hardened their systems.
I don't agree, most web malware comes from porn sites, and depends entirely on users trying to harden their system.
Question: What is the best way to beat a guy who bullies you by posting an embarassing video you made to the internet?
Enjoy every minute of it.

So now you know, ???? = sue everyone you can.

I had an IBM T20 that developed a dead pixel in late 2000 which randomly started working again in early 2004.

Seconded!
Changing main points of character development when you "remaster" a movie is completely ridiculous.
Maybe they can change it next so that darth vader moonlights as a tap dancer
I believe I found the word apple in the address bar of the first page you linked. If I have to type in the apple, I think it is even more relevant.

You better hope that you get a smart president next, someone who dismantles it peacefully, before it will collapse violently.
Jengaaaaaaa....
