Unlike some people, I am locked into using Verizon for my high speed service, unless I want to pawn up three times the amount for an equivalent service from a local no-name. My apartment complex is not on the cable grid because they provide their own cable services. So I am stuck with 768/160 kbps DSL from Verizon while living in a 1.5 million metropolitan area in southern VA. I need my FIOS damn it!!!
If you're complaining about cable, I have Verizon DSL which is actually 864 kbps down and 160 kbps up due to my geophysical location compared to their office. I've yet to see my bandwidth go up since I saw those 3 mbps ads...
I am forced to use Verizon DSL because the apartment management provides their own cable TV via satellite. Even though cable services (from Cox) are available all around within a 100 feet or so. My dsl modem shows the bandwidth at 860kbps down, 140 kbps up. I am looking forward to FIOS.
... or am I the only one who's been logging into gmail through Picasa and sending pics?
If I understood correctly, this particular feature has been offered ever since Picasa 2 came out.
This may be a bit off topic, but... I once left my el cheap-o (~7$ at walmart) digital watch in my jeans pocket and it went through the whole washer and dryer cycles, and works fine to this day.

Wasn't this the same mistake Sony made with dreamcast? Sorry, don't you mean Sega?
