    Please excuse my fellow Briton, I think he stepped out of line. I am a Londoner and understand that 9/11 really was a big deal and not in the least funny, but I really dislike the actions that have occured since this tragedy.

    Your government really has preyed on your nations' fears and now it is likely that ours will too post the recent attacks (people who call them the 7/7 attacks are branding them to promote fear). Although i don't agree with all his politics, Micheal Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 really brings it all home.

    I refuse to give in to this fear mongering and indeed used the London tube network two days after the event.

    No, the best empires give the locals control over much of their own affairs, and give incentives to play nice.

    The best response has always been the minimum of force. This includes riot control, and is why this gun is bad idea, it will just breed more hatred for american soldiers.

    So this is a fermi condensate, and not a boson condensate.

    Literally every pixel has its own electron gun via the wonder of carbon nanotubes.

    That said I personally really like the newer LCDs, they have improved drastically in recent times.

    i'm not really sure how important linux server shipment numbers are. Many copies will be installed on multiple machines or just downloaded for free.

    however it does show continual growth as a general indicater that linux is well accepted in the industry. i know my recent workplace was mostly windows on the desktop but had quite a few linux servers.

    Am i right in thinking that kde 4 will start to use real transparenceny and shadows etc ala its own composite manager? since the current xorg manager is only proof of concept. I'm sure with a little time they can think of some innovative uses that don't just copy apple. any suggestions?

    i also think i heard that qt4 may be opengl accelerated which would be rather nice.

    "Anyway, 25% is hardly "an order of magnitude"" but you are working in two dimensions so there is at least a squared in there somewhere. We are also look ing at the diffraction limit of the light. Just think of the increase in density a relatively small change in wavelength gives from CD to DVD to Blue-ray.
