Personally I think templating is wrong. That's right you heard me, it's wrong. I have never used a templating language that didn't have constructs like if-then and loops. They are simply a new language you learn.

I think something like swing is a better idea. Everything is code, it's easy to read, easy to program. There are lots of toolkits to put swing like programming for the web and I always reccomend people use those instead of smarty or other templating systems.

Having said that every major distribution, every single one, comes with gnome as default. There is a default desktop and it's gnome. KDE is there for people that like it and every major distro includes it for those that prefer KDE. That's the way things are, that's the way things should be.

In any case the MS proprietary format is patented, this means that MS can sue anybody who not only implements it but actually saves files in their format from another program. Of course MS probably won't sue, they will fund another company to sue just like they did with SCO.

Then you decide that he has a pretty decent house and take a room for yourself, nobody is allowed in there except you, if anybody tries you kill them. You also decide that his daughter is cute (her name is OIL) and decide that you want some of that yourself so you start raping her too.

You don't turn over the wife beater to the police, you keep him locked up in a secret location, you are now keeping residence at his house and killing anybody who tries to oust you, you tell his children what to do and when, you rape his daughter regularly.
