    Knoppix is not just a something you evaluate linux with....it has many uses like trobleshooting and fixing and system recovery I storngly disagree with your opinion and im sure im not the only one.

    Perhaps Sony should make and expansion pack for the ps2 and make it 64 bit and ad a cartridge slot that way u can stick anything into it like sega did with 32X and segacd only the oppisite of sega cd...call it PS Cartridge :P P.S. I'm only joking

    They do have some Custom Knoppix's like http://overclockix.octeams.com/ And Gnoppix... and there are some guides how to customize it yourself...I love knoppix it's a Universal tool and a good for rescuing system (Especially windows) I Dont's go anyware with out a CD.

    Recent update? Ever tried Sarge with some SID packeges...In some cases even more up to date Gentoo and not as easy to break...the "Stable" is just a title not a description...look at MS's Stables...

    Debian has very good tools but I would they are no where near as flexible as BSD's ports or Gentoo's portage...IMHO

    The raw Debian in it's current state seems more like a "platform" and less like a distro...it would be great to see debian make a bratnce base on raw debian like mozilla did with firefox...is this what they are trying to do with Jr then its a very good step..or am i missing something.

    I tought The Knowledge Base base was limited to mostly microsoft products...What I had in mind was a an independent database for all Windows software because some software causes windows to be worse than it actually is...And not just for bugs but also for general issues and annoyences...Like AOL advertising itself evrywhere after you install winamp or aim, and software changing your hompage and advertising in weired places on your system.

    Heh...Microsoft should get something like that for ms app...like an independant bug traker for windows software so disaster like blackice would be avoided somehow.

    It is good advice...I try to do that whenever posible but sometimes my boss or our clients aproximate certian dimensions and you have to look at the drawing someone scribbled up...my boss used to be somewhere in the soviet military (not joke) for like 6 years and he just wants to get things done...and the place is not very strategecly organized...excuse the bad spelling =]

    I work in a kitchen factory as a CNC programmer. Sometimes my boss gives me peaces to make and there dimensions where they are supposed to fit but no other important dimensions so if a radius is too big or to small it can become kind of disastrous and I don't hear the end of how much I suck and how useless I am...not that I mind about it...when something goose wrong here everyone hears about it even the ups guy.
