  1. Brown Nose 'The Man' on A Working Economy Without DRM? · · Score: 0

Uhmmm... 1) Hop in bed with government officials. 2) Form laws requiring huge payment for an inert product. 3) Strangle innocent consumers with legal action. 4) Instill fear in the populous. 5) ??? 6) Profit!

  2. Price Skimming on Windows Vista Prices and Release Date Leaked · · Score: 0

C'mon guys, don't complain about the pricing yet. All huge corps use price skimming. Although hopefully I'll be getting the Win Vista Pirated(TM) version before the prices come down to a reasonable point (if ever, not likely). Fact of the matter, adoption of this [insert profanity] product will be painfully slow. How many times has M$ shot themselves in the foot? Do they have feet left?

  3. Fight the MAN! on FairUse4WM Breaks Windows DRM · · Score: 0

The fact of the matter is that music is the universal language . To put a price on it is a huge strike against humanity, culture, and the chance for even the poorest people to have a bright spot in their otherwise pathetic lives.

Besides, why isn't the RIAA trying to shut down the radio stations of the world? They constantly pour free music in to the market (yeah yeah, ads are their revenue, but still). Pure hypocrisy.

And where are the calls for boycott?? The major labels are going extinct, so why don't we expediate the process and save everyone alot of pain and agony? Why can't we roll out more bit torrent-type systems? The more methods by which we can share tunes, the more frustrate the industry will become, and hopefully the quicker their demise.

Fight 'The Man', people! We deserve the freedom to enjoy music! If you have to buy, buy local and support the little people!

  4. Defendant's age?? on P2P Defendant Destroys Evidence, Case Defaults · · Score: 0

Anybody know how old this defendant is?

My guess is an 8 year old playing with her barbies, or an 80 year old gluing her dentures. Come on RIAA, you can find more helpless victims than that, can't you!?

Must be time to dig a hold in the backyard, so when the subpoena comes I can bury my PC quick!

  5. Re:Punishment proportionate to crime? on P2P Defendant Destroys Evidence, Case Defaults · · Score: -1, Troll

They're scarier that Al-Quaida and the Taliban combined!

And where did this $150,000 per song figure come from? Someone mentioned earlier that $1 per song is reasonable. I say this is rediculous. Think about the folks making minimum wage, say $6/hour. They can purchase 6 songs for every hour they work (and they work hard). If the average song is 4 minutes, then they get 24 minutes of music. Who wants to trade 60 minutes of their life for only 24 minutes of pleasure!?!? (Assuming the music is any good) This is nuts. Considering the cost of delivering the product is negligable, the price should be more like $1 per ALBUM! Even I would buy music if it was nice and cheap.

  6. Sweet Deal!! on IBM to Buy ISS for $1.3 Billion · · Score: -1, Redundant

I bet the spacestation is worth WAYYY more than $1.3Bil, and whatta view! $ Cha-Ching! $

  7. Re:More Jobs on Cape Breton Enters Space Race · · Score: 1

Most Capers (that's what we call those people from Cape Breton) were coal miners and hard labourers back in the day, but now that those industries are gone the population has become close to useless due to the lack or retrainability (hard to teach old dogs new tricks). On the other hand, the mainland has seen some fantastic growth over the years. We have the largest university per capita ratio in Canada, although the government has a hard time keep the young, educated people here once they finish their degrees. All the money is in Alberta where the oil sands are (need to feed the oil-hungry beast known as the USA). Well, enough of that rant..
