    Searches for: mercury fulminate. Again, being able to recognize the signs of mercury poisoning is a good idea. People learn more about a subject by hearing about it, and then looking up materials on the subject.
    Seeing as how mercury fulminate like all fulminates are unstable explosives I don't think mercury poisoning is a valid concern.

    4) Don't get rid of the parts of the original that people loved. This should go without saying, but it needs to be said, sadly.
    Though the game isn't out yet, Dragon Age 2 appears to be an excellent test case for this. They dropped several character classes(Arcane Warrior, Battlemage, Keeper, Ranger etc.) and removed play style options(dual wielding talents for warriors, NPC's won't change weapons styles ever![ie. melee vs ranged]) so time will tell if the changes will sink the sequel or if it will be gobbled up by consolers who prefer easier combat.

    why do I enjoy playing Fallout 3 so much more than New Vegas?
    If I had to venture a guess it's the combat, after the third time you run into a gang of Deathclaws or cazadores and get your ass handed to you it becomes dumb. Hell, radscorpions which in the original 2 were not a challenging MOB have become a real pain in the ass. Whereas Fallout3 w/ the appropriate DLC after level 7 you could wander the wasteland and not wind up dead in 3 steps.

    In closing, you seem a little bit too gleeful over the punishment, why does the idea of someone dieing painfully excite you?
    Conversely, on a planet with over six billion humans why does the death of one stranger get you all tied up in knots?

    Avatar's plot wasn't dumb. It was simple. There's a vast difference between the two. Avatar deliberately used a simple, nearly archetypal plot that would have been at home in a pulp novel from the twenties, and presented it with consummate craftsmanship
    Ah, designing Na'vi surrogates for human brains, but not designing Na'vi smallpox is dumb, not simple. Using powered armor instead of poison gas is dumb, not simple. Fighting on the ground instead of orbital bombardment is dumb, not simple.

    There was some of that in the new one but users didn't seem to have any real extra abilities. Any abilities a user might have were arcane, slow, and indirect. I would have enjoyed more direct manipulation of the simulation.
    This. In the 1st movie the user Flynn resurrects several objects in the simulation. In the second movie Flynn kinda performs surgery but no actual breathing life into something that was dead. Sam doesn't do anything but ride a lightcycle and figure out team tactics.

    Printing press only gave us the Bible and some rich people to open a museum. The internet gives me access to b00bz whenever and where ever I want. Waiting in line at the ATM, sitting in my cubicle, etc.

    Unless "normal people" is code for people who agree with you 100% of the time, no. After all normal people can't set their DVR to record a show, or find a printer on a network. You want "normal people" to decide how technology should be used?

    The plot is Tron is also not too bad even for a modern film. Going back to Last Startfighter, there was a film where the graphics looked really dated and the plot was way too simplistic for a modern movie.
    Simple plot, you mean like Avatar? Or perhaps anyone of those boy meets girl, boy loses girl, hijnks, boy get girl, romantic comedies?

Now, I know that the thought of liberty and people being mostly free interfers with your belief that mankind can be remade more perfect w/ just a little govt. tinkering year after year.     Iran certainly has an uranium enrichment program and this would give them a "break out capability" but whether Iran is actually producing or about to produce nuclear weapons is another matter entirely and not supported by any substantive evidence.
    Buying A.Q. Khans cook book for making nuclear arms is substantive evidence. As for #4 the American people have not forgotten whose embassy was invaded and hostages taken from. Nor which country was providing explosives and designs for improved IED's.

    Yes but this concept that "humanity will perish" or "national security will collapse" or "the economy will collapse" if oil just disappeared is pretty pathetic, but apparently effective for the many people who grew up hearing about the rapture, the apocalypse and all that. Humanity has overcome quite a few much greater challenges. Replacing oil power will not exactly be the end of civilization.
    You're right end of oil power will not be the end of civilization, assuming you live in the tropics, near where your food is grown and don't mind having a couple million new cold starving neighbors. B/c that's what would happen if oil just disappeared.

    Because through his use of Wikileaks he is inducing people to commit treason and violate classified information. Also Assange edits the information and comes close to politcal "blackmail" with his slow series of leaks, that are less about diseminating information and more about trying to aggrevate the American govt.
