This is one of those costs that probably won't be fully passed on to customers - where I live anyways...
New Game: $60 Used Game: $50 + $10 PSN Pass.
Why would you ever buy the used game? Gamestop has to decrease the amount they charge for the new game or they swallow the cost of the PSN Pass themselves to make it worth a customer buys the Used Game. Otherwise they lose an entire console's worth of used games.
I used to love/. with the esoteric news clippings that you'd never find in the mainstream. Now the front page is full of Sony hatred and absurd news bites proclaiming the end of X...
How can their money be stolen from their chequing (debit card) account when the data taken from PSN includes credit card info? I think I'm missing something...
In either case, I got in contact with Master Card and they said I'm free to request a new card if I wanted, but the data taken from PSN doesn't include the pin number (for those with chip cards) or the security number on the back. The customer service agent went on to say that fraudulent purchases are insured against anyway, so there's no worry there.
There really doesn't seem to be a legit reason to cancel your card.
Nevertheless, this whole thing sucks and Sony can chew my wang.
Laptops, phones and pen/tablets are for content creation and getting things done. iPads are for content consumption: you can watch a movie, read a book use an app to get the weather... but you can't really do anything with them.
That said, I don't own one and I've only played with those owned by friends and family. They're entertaining and neat to flick through, but they're toys and not much more.
But if several people from a corporation were to donate their personal maximum to a political figure/party, no one would bat an eye. That's to say nothing of cash under the table or work provided in-kind:S
There are groundwater wells in my province that have been shut down because of naturally elevated arsenic levels. Meanwhile the concentration of arsenic is probably below the level needed to cause noticeable effects.
So when we get anthropogenic plutonium (is there any other kind?) in groundwater, it is a serious motherfucking problem. Don't be a douche... this land has been salted for a long time to come and your blase attitude is annoying.
I like how any noun can be 'book'ed if there is a web site and some social structure to it. I should assume that wrought iron fence enthusiasts would start a GateBook.com
And then if there was an insidious scandal between Gatebook.com and PicketFencebook.com the scandal would be termed Gatebook Gate.
Only last year, during the Vancouver Olympics, I saw the most disturbing footage ever.
Nodar Kumaritashvili was killed in a luge run when his sled flew out of a corner and he crashed into a steel support girder. The reverberant *thwangggggggg* followed by no movement and otherwise complete silence is the stuff of nightmares.
We do a similar thing with a few remotely located cameras. In this case, it's a webcam aimed at a river with a proposed hydroelectric development. The purpose of the camera is for ice monitoring. It takes photos hourly and is connected via satellite modem.
Those highly-saline areas are called gyres. The one in the Atlantic that you see coincides with the Sargasso sea. It's a spot where a few currents meet and form a slow cyclone. The water there is therefore sort of cut off by a wall of currents. There isn't much circulation within the Sargasso and interesting things happen there...
Such as giant floating mats of plastic debris and massive mats of floating seaweed.
Unlimited streaming is on of the reasons it's successful in Canada.
Cable has offered pay-per-view for years but there is little to no uptake amongst my friends and family. But plenty of friends and family have Netflix. I think ppv would be a big step backwards... I certainly would cancel!
The licensing of content in Canada is more difficult, from what I have read. But even if this content is only for the US, surely there must be some amount of leveraging they can do to persuade whatever Canadian rights holder that keeps this content.
Consider a small isolated pond surrounded by a pristine forest. Now denude the forest around the pond. Does the pond change? The pH will fluctuate, runoff from precipitation will impact the pond and the water is almost certainly going to become more turbid. If you consider the world of a mud trout, its life will never be the same.
It just doesn't seem unreasonable to think that we can change the world as a species. The Earth is just not that big... I can purchase a plane ticket now and be on the other side of the globe within 24 hours. The globe has shrunk a great deal...
Just as good as the Nortel Technology that companies just paid billions for!
How much are you getting for a newish game at Gamestop?

Zing ;)
I have a flashlight with the dynamo that charges when you shake it. So I just charge it when I... well it's personal - but my light is always charged.
Where have all the nerds gone?

The Yanomamo tribe in the Amazon rain forest were known to distinguish numbers such as One, Two and Many.
Too lazy/not enough coffee to find a good reference:

Apple is much the same as Bose, really. And you're right, it's all about the experience.
Both Apple and Bose sell somewhat interesting products, but they're not overly innovative anymore (iPad is just a bigger iPhone, is it not?)
Both Bose and Apple use brand recognition and price point to imply quality and sell their wares nowadays.

Exactly. So what's with the 'poo poo' attitude?

And people freak out about a nipple.
Neat idea!

To a North Korean killed by a turret - their family says they're evil.
To a South Korean killed by a turret - their family says they're evil.
It's a matter of perspective.
I faithfully played Warcraft and Diablo 1. I thought they were the best games ever. Diablo 2 was fantastic and I loved it.
I considered myself a fanboy of Blizzard Entertainment.
I have never *ever* seen WoW. I've never played it and after several years, I have no intention of playing it.
More flags, more tidal volume!
It's the defense lawyer's case...
Because some punk spoke their mind on FB, the defense lawyer's hard work is gone to waste. That's not fair, really. I'd be annoyed!
You think Fake Wood grain's got a chance?
Thank god... I knew my hand-me-down living room furniture would be cool some day!

But if you shoot the light that was installed to keep people from shooting guns then all hell will... wait... recursive light shooting! ARGH
