Also - apparently in spite of --now-- publicly trying to distance themselves from the Sea Shephard, there are credible ties to GP and a ship specifically built to ram and sink whaling ships.

I'm no fan of greenpeace, but their attacks on whaling ships of ill repute are not terrorism. Terrorism would be setting off bombs inside the civilian areas of those countries which sanction whaling.

Wait, are you saying the civilians who run whaling ships are somehow exempt from their country's normal civilian protection? If terrorism is attacking civilians instead of military targets, I'd say attacking whaling vessels is terrorism.

The trouble with famous landmarks is people tend to think they're the only thing like them in that area. When my brother was showing his pictures from his senior trip to London, he had several long discussions with people trying to explain to them that there was, in fact, more than one bridge in London. Shock and disbelief.
I've also met several people who thought New York was just the city; couldn't convince them that Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester were also New York. *sigh*

Thanks, old man You're quite welcome, I'm sure. So nice to see the younger generation learning the common politeness they'll need in life.

The Internet is for us all, and if I want to chat with my 16 and 17 year old friends from school or church or the football club, I'm going to do it where I please. No arbitrary age barrier is going to stop us talking to each other. Well, gosh, I feel left out. I'll just have to go sit in a corner and cry.

You're extinct - get your opinion out of our way... How can I, when you've posted AC? Oh well, I guess I'd better get on my dinosaur and go pick up my medications. Oh, and stay off my grass while I'm gone. The daffodils don't like too much shade.

Sound was once a gimmick, then it was color, then surround sound, then CGI, etc. etc. Once movie makers settle down and use it as a tool instead of just a cool effect, we'll get some good 3D movies. Early CGI films remind me of early 3D films because the CGI jumps out and hits you in the face; now it's all standard and carefully integrated with the live action so you don't notice it and it no longer distracts from the film. The biggest trick in movie making is creating the illusion - getting your audience to suspend their disbelief. Anything that breaks that illusion by calling attention to itself distracts the audience and usually hurts your film.

If a car with only 30 hitpoints fought a car with 150 hitpoints, the 150 hp car would most likely win because it could take more damage before being destroyed.

You also mention 'mold' (mould?) and building decay problems because of this 'low ventilation' and 'water everywhere'. With a properly designed irrigation system and a suitable air conditioning system with humidity control this shouldn't be a problem. I work at a facility with a temperature/humidity controlled vault for archival film storage. Part of my job is routinely checking materials stored in the vault for mold. The vault air system goes beyond merely "suitable" air conditioning and humidity control, but even in an environment specifically designed to reduce mold growth (50 degrees F, 50% humidity), we still get it in some of our materials.

Don Herbert was so good at explaining things like refraction clearly and simply so kids could understand them and learn to apply that knowledge in daily life. After the 5-hour limit, players will be subjected every 15 minutes to the warning: "You have entered unhealthy game time, please go offline immediately to rest. If you do not, your health will be damaged and your points will be cut to zero." I wouldn't call that encouraging, I would call that threatening. If I got that message and responded by going offline, it would be because I didn't want to lose the points I'd just gained, not because I was worried about my health.
