    They don't? hmm, never had the DOA take my camera phone away...and its sitting up on my dash when i drive through the security checkpoint every day.

    By the way, it was right around then that Chicago installed some new bright white lights on the ramp, replacing the previous sodium lights (which drove me nuts). It was probably related to that...hell for the first few weeks with those things, every time it rained i couldnt even find the damn drive lanes due to the reflections from those things!

    Commercial Electric has a nice one, i got these at Home Depot... instant on, instant full brightness, nice color spectrum, and they use about 5 watts and light up the room better than a 60 watt incandescant. i have 20 of these in my house right now

    A better example would be Amsterdam....If i have an ounce of chronic in amsterdam, the USA cannot go have me arrested, I'm in Amsterdam, i follow THEIR LAWS!

    maybe they didnt scramble the jets instantly, because its the goverment? things dont happen that fast there....you could say "oh yeah but they shoulda realised what happend and..blah blah blah" there was a communication messup, and other reasons that they just didnt order the jets to scramble untill it was too late

    as an emplyee in the airline industry, as per FAA (and europes equiv) regulations, all packages being shipped by air are subject to search and seizure....whether DVDs are dangerous to an aircraft has yet to be determined ;)

    nobody said it was his job to enforce the law, but the police and such sure give you less tickets when you "follow" the law....

    anyway here in illinois such a driver can and will be ticketed for slowing the flow of traffic in the fast lane.

    ever stop to think, that alot of conditions force the semi driver to blow a late yellow or new red? you got all that weight, you are travelling at 50MPH on a large roadway rated for such speeds...you are approaching a stop light, before you come to the intersection, the light changes yellow...you are too close to stop without locking your brakes, for if you did, that would lead to problems later down the road (shredded tire, anyone?) what do you do? Keep in mind, trucks have a much larger stopping distance, ESPECIALLY at 50mph, compared to cars. At least truckers have the decency to signal to cross traffic that they intend do do so (which mostly happens in winter around here, for obvious reasons) You're not usually expecting Soccer Mom to keep going, though you should
