    VMWare has a 30 day trial for their basic product, made everlasting with a serial number.

    It will let you just virtualise the computer. Much easier than installing on a new PC (And lets you install yoour distro straight from the ISO).

    How many times per day do you update your libc, and does it requires rebooting? Why not? What about servers?

    Just because you've updated libc doesn't mean that already-running apps are using the new one.

    It's not like there is something wrong with a teenager who wants to have sex, it's how we have evolved.

    Because you're saying that even if you are unaware of breaking a law that you should still be responsible, even if you have been explicitly told that what you are doing is legal?

    I understand your point though, and see what you mean, although personally I do not think that if you don't know a person is 18 (and have what would be considered a reasonable motive for believing she is) then it isn't reasonable to punish people for that.

    It is a natural instinct to engage in sex, but not necessarily to get to know a person.

    Do you consider it to be worthy of punishment if someone posing as the owner of a home invites you in without permission from the real owners? If someone sells stolen property on ebay, do you think that the (unknowing) buyers should be considered criminals?

    Yeah I know...natural hormones are a real problem in today's teenagers, huh? You know what we need? Castration at birth! That way, only government approved citizens over the legal age will ever have any urges to have sex, solving all our problems!

    It's a bit too risky, they could make a shell script or use /bin/rm which would make everything go wrong.

    What I have found is that it is a good idea to make a file called '-i' in every important folder, that way the argument goes in at shell expansion time.

    My country had to enact the Digital Agenda Act as part of the FTA with the US.

    Yep...it's a good thing that they have extorted money out of lots of people who may have been downloading music.

    It's also so good that they don't have to go through the trouble of trying to prove it in court, and that they can simply tell people that if they don't get $3000 then they will get bankrupted from their legal fees alone!

    The American legal system is soooo efficient! Who would want anything else?

    I hate to tell you this, but MSN is one of the few Microsoft products which is good (in my opinion anyway...Visual Studio is the other that springs to mind).

    First of all: Have you checked the pricing for VMWare? Any (legal) setup would require 2 windows licenses + 1 VMWare license/computer.

    Which is roughly $1200 retail IIRC.

    I would suggest rigging something up with ghost or something, to just re-image over the network every night. Although I have never done it, so YMMV.
