People who love animals are the same way. The vast majority love them because they are tasty. An independent group love them because they're animals. Same kind of thing for technology.

I wrote to ask the author what this would do to, say, having four years of english, four years of science, four years of math, etc. The impression I get is that this is designed for people wanting to go on to vocational schools.
My wife tells me that when the communists took over S. Vietnam, they put loudspeakers on every corner and woke people up bright and early with inspirational commie songs.
