  1. Re:Gamecube Power - Proof in Pictures on Wii Graphics 'Better Than At E3' · · Score: 1

If you actually look at the screenshots, you'll see what all those specs amount to. Did you even click the link? Even without all the extra special effects the PS2 version still has a lower polygon count.

    5) The PS2 is actually faster than the GC by a substantial margin. However, it's designed more to push a huge number of polygons with relatively few special effects. If you look carefully at PS2 games versus Gamecube games, you'll notice that PS2 models are substantially higher in polygon count, while Gamecube models tend to mask lower-polygon counts with rich textures and special effects.

I'm not sure how accurate that statement is, but this comparison casts some serious doubt on it, after all, the proof is in the pictures(and videos):

    http://www.gameswelike.com/web/re/RE%20Comp.htm

Capcom has lots of experience making games for both consoles, moreso for the PS2, so I'm sure they did the best they could with what they had in terms of power, and the results aren't pretty. Image quality, poly count, and special effects all suffer on the PS2 port.

The GameCube looks like the superior machine to me. Perhaps this is why Nintendo is taking its focus away from graphics this generation, it didn't do them much good to have the 2nd most powerful console on the market last time(barely behind the x-box, according to some developers)...

Nice points, I think. But it seems a thinly vieled attempt to fullfill your missionary duties.

I'm LDS, and I go to BYU. In this school - which is run basically by my church - we actually don't have a problem with evolution at all. We even (gasp) teach it. Why? We believe that God still speaks through a single source, and we have more than one witness of Christ. The idea that parts of the Bible might be allegorical or severely watered-down for the people of the time doesn't bother us at all.

That's great and all, but it's a shame that Mormonism is based on lies. The seriously blatant kind. The sort that are absolutely discredited by genetics, archeology, anthropology....

I don't have time to go into all the details, but these links should provide more than enough debunking regarding this false religion:

    A seeminly unaffiliated perspective.
    A christian perspective.

    Key points:
The papyrus John Smith translated contained NO INFORMATION about abraham or golden plates. He made it up.
Black people are suppoed to become lighter skinned through practicing mormonism.
They believe that a certain native american tribe was descendent from the Jews.

I still do not comprehend how people do not place the LDS(mormons) in the same class as Scientology.

Bacteria in my shower.... big whoop. Here's a real eye opener:

In 2001 a comet exploded over Kerala, India. For days after the event, it rained red. While this made the news around the world, what didn't make it were the subsequent analyses of the content of the rain. These two papers describe a microbe which was discovered to cause the red tint to the rain. It has no DNA, metabolizes a wide variety of organic and inorganic materials, and actively breeds at 300 degrees C. Is this proof of alien life?

Who cares about bacteria in my shower? This stuff probably came from the stars.
