The package isn't a real program. It's a meta package to group other packages together. It's best use is allowing you to change between ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu and edubuntu.
There's no harm in removing that package (even though it's not very user friendly and doesn't tell you)
On the plus side though, Firefox 1.5.0.3 is already installed!:)
When Microsoft do this though, they are cross-subsidising, as it doesn't cost them anything to include MSN search with IE.
Google are paying Opera for this, so it becomes a business transaction. Also, Opera is a low market share browser, so it can't be considered anti-competitive. People can choose not to use/install it.
It isn't actually designed to be fully automated, just to improve communication.
Feedback from modules still comes from the lectures, but it comes via the smartphone/desktop interface.
The only automation is the recommendation stuff and the stuff that comes from mappoint.
(BTW I'm mat, one of the trio involved in writing it)

They just don't plug it into the network! If it's not network accessible, the only method is local interaction.
If you're already in the Fighter Jet, whether there's a rootkit or not will be the last concern on the military's mind.
Surely you don't want to switch, you want to use both! Thereby increasing the amount of adverts your product has! :)
but with that arguement, you can say that by giving away the web browsers is anti-competitive...
their original name had a hypen in it; micro-soft

Not to mention you kind of need to have the pages generated, as no home user's going to configure a server to host it! :P
