My bank (RaboBank) has this. (a safe endpoint)

If i want to utilize online banking, i have to use a small calculator-like device. I have to insert my banking card, enter my pin code, and to complement that some random code the website hands me.
Then the device gives me a code to hand to the website.

The bank doesn't rely on computer safety. Looks like a quite secure endpoint to me.
Only risk could be one capturing your screen / watching over you shoulder, but that's everywhere and inevitable.

    On a sidenote:
Vikings already used bubbles to lessen the drag. They constructed the wooden boards on a ship's bottom on a special way, basicly overlapping them downwards and thus trapping air in the pockets to create a vortex and ultimately decrease friction with the water.
To my shock i can't find any solid online references to vikings using this approach.
I've seen it on TV (i guess Discovery) once.

The reason not to get Vista is "The new features don't justfiy the cost", not "there's nothing new."
imho: There are *no* features in Vista that *i* want *and* not already have access to.

So basicly, right now it has nothing to offer me. My current work environment and game configuration is just fine. If anything, the entertainment will bring change. I don't bett on business that much, the only reason i perceive is locking system and network down.

To bad the new filesystem was dropped from Vista, that was the motivator for me. I want to be able to deposit one file on two places at once. For example a pdf manual should both exist in /ebooks/manuals pdf/ and /software/someprogram/,
and certain mp3's should be in /music/someartist/somealbum/ and /music/all/ and /music/alphabet/s/ and /music/genre/rock/ and /music/favorites/someselection/ at once.

If you didn't read the same thing as i'm going to say again, sir, you are a moron.
In short this is the case:

IF they distribute a modified linux kernel, they are obligated to hand out code to everyone who asks for it.
After that, they could make other (new, homebred) software for the hardware of the system
(think video, controller, diskdrive, usb, flashcards) binary only and not distribute it.

Nonetheless if they distribute binary files on a linux kernel, these will be reverse-engenered before you could calculate the first googol decimals of pi by using a deskcalculator.

    Personally;
I dont expect the Wii to use Linux at all. (excluding Nintendo's internet game and content servers)
It would be much more practical to write their own OS and model their own API for data, video and input.
