How about teaching him to count in hex and not in base 10 instead... Hex aint no language.
Do like christians do, blank out every reference to base 10 in any book he reads (instead of evolution, that is). His math teacher would brobably hate him.
Actually, I wasn't going for the rebel attitude, I was trying to say that it isn't up to you what people do with the content you send their way. But go ahead, have yourself a good rant.
So an ad here or there isn't a problem. Its reality.
Actually, it aint - if you block it, it's not there. You don't have to accept everything someone throws at you, you know. There's such a thing as free choice, and people won't just sit and look at the ads like the good trained consumers they are...
Do you zap between channels when it's time for ads, or do you sit and watch them out of naive moral obligation? Do you think the TiVo should be banned?
Actually, it is. If I miss out on something because of it, it's my loss (I'm the one I'm concerned about here, not the advertisers or the odd MS customer with active directory services). You have a right to bitch about it, and I can ignore you. Nothing personal, it's just how it works. You can't change it (really, you can't), so adapt. Do what Symantec told you to do (if you can), or if you don't care that much, don't.
I get rid of at least 80% of online advertisements by blocking ads.server.something and server.something/ads/*, and it hasn't caused any provlems for me. If I find something that doesn't work, I can just add it to a safelist.
probably $50-80 more than the nokia one... They're still in the same categor pricewise though. If you're spending that much on a phone, you want it to be good.
No 3G in Norway yet, so I'm happy, and I hate clamshell phones...:)
Not that I would mind having 3G in the k700, but I'll probably upgrade when we get it here anyway...:) I was looking at the s700 on the web, it has memory stick support, 1,3 mp cam and a bigger screen, but no 3g... Something like the s700 with 3G and a less clumsy keyboard systen, now that would be something...
Has 42 mb built in memory, VGA cam that can also do 80 mins of video in.3gp format, built in pop3 & imap client, 176x220 tft (very nice & bright) display capable of 65536 colors, all the latest java features (midp 2.0, raw sockets), mp3-player (though 42mb isn't a lot of space for storing mp3's), gprs, bluetooth etc etc. It does all this nokia phone does, and is twice as fast and 10x sexier. (I just bought it a week ago, I love it).
When I went to an american school (me=foreigner), I found that pledge to be rather silly (well, all the other students did too, except for the hick who wore the yellow ribbon (is it still in use?) and an army jacket). I mean, very very silly. What other country would do something like that every day? (North Korea? China?)
And a friend of mine said schools that dropped the not-so-optional-then pledge would recieve less public funds, is that true?
Nope, because you are after all you. You would not be forging anything. When you sign your name to something, you are defining the original signature, as in, it's yours.
And if you were to be picked out by this system as a fraudster, it would be relatively trivial for you to identify yourself, given some time. So there would be no risk of going to jail.
And? They are humans too, which was my point. One shouldn't be allowed to skip in the line, whoever one is or aint. That means him, and dubbya too, and Oprah an OJ too for that matter. This ensures that we all have a somewhat equal shot at getting a replacement organ, no matter what someone else thinks about it. I believe that's a good idea, don't you?
I pay the equivalent of £0.85 or so per meg over GPRS (0.01 NOK per kb, £1 = 12 NOK). I thought the prices here in Norway where outrageous, but apparently yours are worse... What do you pay for MMS and SMS? I pay £0.05 per SMS, and £0.20 per MMS, in addition to the GPRS charges, and £0.14 or so per min of talking. On top of that I have a £4 monthly subscription fee.
Check out www.google.com/wml on your cell, go to the search options menu, an choose go to address. Enter slashdot.org. Works pretty well, I used it for a week when I was away from my computers... The sign of a true addict...
You're going a bit over the top. It's not like WD said to him "hey, we'll give you $20m to tell us all of seagate's secrets" (at least I hope so, then they'd be in trouble). It's probably a senior engineers salary they would have to pay, which would be anywhere from $60k to $150k (guessing). I don't think that's unreasonable for keeping him from working in the field he has devoted decades to, and which he probably finds both revarding and profitable. I mean, what should he do, get a job at Walgreens?
Anyone who mods this overrated has obviously never played D&D...
Forgot to add the words some crazy' there, sorry. Didn't mean to lump you in with the fruitloops... Or the pope.
:)
That would make this Christian software developer smarter than you.
Fine, you can be the smart one, and I'll be the rational one...

Ha Ha Ha Ha ....
Thanks.
Me gavte la nata.
Have you read Focaults Pendulum by Umberto Eco? May I suggest that you do?

Very very interesting, you don't remember where you read about it, do you?

Trust me, it's the k700i you really want...

No, money is the basis of your society. Some fools think religion is, good for them.

Tudor of course.

I bet someone else was first in line for that liver, and died. One mans life for anothers...

Maybe it's not so bad here after all...

It's Abu Ghraib.
