  1. Shaky Cam Phenomenon! on Time Names Battlestar Galactica Show Of The Year · · Score: 1

    Does anyone else get nauseous watching shows that are too cheap to use the Steady Cam©?
    This new phenomenon is making it hard for me to watch TV. Remember the "blipverts" from Max Headroom? Rapid commercials that cause the viewers heads to explode!

    The prediction is starting to come true with seizure causing flashing images and nauseous camera work. It's getting harder and harder to find shows and commercials I can watch on TV.

    So I can't watch Battlestar at all and I don't like it nor can I fairly evaluate it. Anyone else having this trouble?

    Great idea, poor results. That was why the RULES of camera work I was taught were developed! No rapid movements, etc. except where it does work. Not all the time like trainees and low budget interns at a certain TV station I know!

    What I get and what I need: I get TONS of rice and pinto beans (I'm NOT mexican for Gods' sake!). Plenty of Canned Tuna Fish but little else for tuna salad sandwiches. Tuna is cheap to buy, others are more needed. I very rarely get any beef or other. Occasional complete chicken (but why the expensive organic? when you can buy 2 regular to donate?). Tons of pasta that I have little sauce for. Hamburger and dairy are almost never seen at my end due to no easy way to distribute to individuals and lack of donations. Food banks send the good stuff to the local kitchens (St Vincent DePaul when I can get there) for those badly needed meals. It stinks to be poor in America! And disabled! BTW, why no canned hams? I've never seen one through them! AND STOP DONATING NO SALT, LOW CARB, etc. items! We need real food, don't make assumptions about our dietary needs! Gah!

    Anyway, hmm, I think that like has too many of: [goto line 100], [print "moderate"] statement in it!
    BTW: how do you delimit a BASIC (let alone 'C') statement in English? I'm still waiting for a English class for us "techies" to take "English as a programming language" so I can learn it's SOLID rules for me to understand! Wait! There is no 'solid' rules in English! Oh well, still need the class. Um, not the C++ class(ifier).</p>

    Ok, ok, best I can do for jokes, I've been out practice, ok?! In all 3 languages: MS BASIC (pre Qbasic), COBOL, 'C', plus a more recent class in C++ (June 2002).

    And SHUT UP about my "dangling participles" whatever the heck fire that is!

    if(sentence_structure(POINTER) == "dangling" && sentence_structure(POINTER+1) == "participle")
    {
    fprint("error");
    exit(-1);
    }
    else
    fprint("shut up!");

    save file and then:

    c what.c

    "compiler error: English is not a supported module"

    *sigh*
    ** this writing is not compiled by an English compiler for semantic or phrasing errors! They don't exist! Ok, never mind Editors...
