    In her statement a frame of reference for measuring the mentioned timespan wasn't specified. Since we don't know the frame of reference, we cannot decide if the timespan is wrong or right. I don't know how you get the idea that the frame of reference is identical with that of the traveller ("you").

    The important part is "it would take 4.2 years to get there." That's not "it would take you 4.2 years to get there." Only time was specified, the observer's missing.

    "Oh well this could maybe hypothetically desensitize people and cause problems, etc, etc." K, but that doesn't fit the actual data that violent crimes in the US have been trending down since around the time that videogames came out.

    Correlation isn't causation. And violent crime != violent behaviour. Furthermore you would first have to prove that aggressive/violent behaviour incited by consumation of violent video games/media (VVG/M) causes more violent crime before demanding that studies concerned only with increased aggressive/violent behaviour through VVG/M should first explain this correlation of yours.

    ITYM "over 50% market share"[0]. According to your source, Opera has only over 50% in Belarus. If this was always so isn't mentioned in your article.

    Beeing of age 5 at this time and living in bavaria, I remember that my parents didn't allow me to play outside (government recommendation) and dairy farmers weren't allowed to sell their milk for quite some time.

    If you ever wondered why nuclear energy isn't that popular in europe - that's the most likely reason.

    My Pineview Netbook is a new machine, you insensitive clod. And it composites just fine. But no OpenGL 3.0. Though, that's exactly a move that would fit the KDE projects policy regarding users.
