It is assumed they are not living up to their treaty obligations. But regardless the US does not want Iran to have any nuclear capability, which is in violation of the treaty; Iran can have peaceful nuclear programs.

Thank You! I run across this all the time. The private sector has it's own rules and regulations. Basically, it comes down to the people running the show. You can have well run government agencies the same way you can have poorly run corporations. It's the people that make the difference. This public versus private debate is pure crap.
As opposed to soul crushing rules that corporations have....seriously get a clue. The private sector is just as bad, in some cases they have more red tape.
