    There's a big difference between Erik Verlinde and Newton & Einstein. Newton & Einstein and have data to back up their theories. Erik Verlinde does not.

    String Theory is unproven. No data to back it up. So quite honestly it should be called String Hypothesis.

    But I guess if you want to swallow whole, "Florida Congressman Wants Blogging Critic Fined, Jailed," as the truth, especially the "blogger critic" part, as opposed to "Former Republican Party Official using Web Site to Raise Funds to Unseat Representative," then you must be a Fox News viewer.

    She's a former republican party official trying to raise funds to unseat Grayson.

    Unfortunately, she is doing it in a fraudulent way which could be in violation of the law and land her in jail.

    GPL supporters support Oracle purchasing MySQL for the very reason that the GPL protects MySQL. Oracle cannot take back the code. Oracle cannot prevent people from using MySQL. Oracle cannot prevent MySQL from forking.

    However, the founders of MySQL do not like the GPL and wish to wall off the code from MySQL.

    Oracle is not the problem, it's the anti-GPL crowed that is the problem.

    Google's CEO was point out that simple fact that when the government wants information, NO ONE is going to deny them. So your best course of action is not to engage in activities that can get you into trouble because businesses are not going to protect you.

    The simple fact is Americans are stupid. They would not believe you if you told them, "the paint is wet." They would still have to touch it. Americans do not trust science. They never had. So there is no fall from grace. This latest drama simply confirms their world view not to trust science.

    You are part of that group.

    Thing is, there is no conspiracy about man-made climate change. The data proves this. The questions are how fast is it happening and is it reversible. Unfortunately it does appear that it is happening at a faster pace than what was predicted.

    But be all means, please tell us how "evil" scientists are and how saintly the "do nothing" crowd is.

    It's not like being more energy efficient and finding renewable energy sources isn't profitable or worthwhile.
