For almost all of the last century, when you worked at IBM, you were guaranteed a job for life. I don't know if people realize this, but IBM reportedly didn't have layoffs even during the Great Depression (which made the dot-com bust look like peanuts).

not to mention police officers and firemen who put their life on the line every day for even less money than that.
while i agree with you on many many points you made, you do have to realize there are ALOT of corrupt cops, fireman, especiall my area, long island/nyc. It's tough for nyc to find cops so they take in the loser joe who has no direction in life and just looking for an easy way out.
and dont get me started on the fire department, all the kickbacks they take and i'm still bitter for them letting my friends house burn down. for the story, the house caught on fire, he called they call the fire dept of course. his town fire dept. is literally 4/5 blocks away from his house, they never showed til like 30 mins later. the fire dept from 2 towns over with at least a 15 minute ride with moderate traffic showed up first and the house couldn't be saved. now his town fire department is claiming they were there in time and that my friends family is pretty much lying

Microsoft is making there own official language to compete with the likes of engligh, spanish, french, and all languages all over the world.
The language will be free to use for the individual but they do have to pay hundreds of thousands in courses to learn the 112 alphabet language. Also there will be a bi-yearly charge for each offspring who gets taught language.
Release date is expected sometime before the next millenium.

Because they have gotten alot of bad press about being behind Linux on the 64 bit release schedule for ~2 years. Now it is "released" but it is still sortof a closed release. Remember Microsoft has a really good marketing division, this is one of their achievements.

MS had nothing on their site(the trial download was closed and no info on where to buy full version) nor could i find much googling. I e-mailed ms asking about release date and price for x64 to which I got an e-mail back 2 days later saying call this number.
Yesterday rolls along and I didn't call the number because ms updated their side and is now offering a "free"(you pay $6 in shipping + tax) 120 day trial version. I placed an order for a cd so now I wait 2-4 weeks. I still can't find any concrete information on how to buy a FULL x64.
Anyhow lets just say you get your wish, the supervolcano will make us go extinct:). And if that doesn't kill you, good luck finding water supply on your colony.

We take for granted what we have now but if you go back to just 2 centuries ago and told the people of that day and age about a computer and how it'll transform the world, they'll scorn you off the planet.....
That's one way of looking at the issue. The way I prefer to look at it(besides jailtime) is to take an estimate on how much productivity worldwide, or at least nationwide is lost on spam, see how much spam this one guy spews out and charge him accordingly. If that figure is around 49 million then so be it. If its less its less. Granted this is easier said than done but hey, why not try to start somewhere.
I know I said I'm done but I just want to go on the record to say I stand corrected. You're right. There are 2 types of christians, those are saved by Christ, and those who are not. Those christians who are not saved by Christ I was saying there are not real christians. They may be christian, but won't change the fact they're not saved. What made me change my thought was thinking of the exodus in the old testiment. All are of the Jewish faith but same scenario, not all are saved.

Not all true. Well ok maybe because I don't know too many atheists. Romans killed christians but they werent atheists so scratch that idea. And keep in mind(which no one does) those christians who do use flames are not actual Christians. Bible makes clear on the fact people will call themselves christians and think they are but are not because they do not follow God with their hearts, just their lips.
The analogy I always like to use is I'm bill clinton, the ex president of the u.s. I may think I'm clinton but I'm a really? no. Will anyone else believe it? no. But yet no one questions when someone says "i'm this religion even though I dont follow it" or they do question it but its "ohh this guy is this, there all bad and evil!!!!"

Only thing I have against your argument is people actually have to vote the officials in office. So if there is a "few people with extreme religious views" in office, look around you because they didn't get in there without a poplular vote(except the president in 2000 but that's another issue).
