Wow, you really took this way off course.
First of all, midichlorian don't create the Force, they just help other races "hear" the will of the Force.
Secondly, a high midichlorian count don't mean you are automatically a powerful Jedi. Qui-gon says to Anakin that when he learns to quiet his mind, then he will hear the midichlorians talk to him. So control of the Force still requires control and Focus.
I will agree that we didn't need the midichlorians. They could just have said "this kid is strong in the Force, maybe even stronger than Yoda".
Cool, i learned a new definition of ironic today: "School tries to punish students for improper behavior in their homes after SPYING on them".
I'm still thinking "nah, this has to be fake" because it seems impossible that so many people went along with this and no one said "hey, this cant be right". The school should be glad that they are only getting sued, instead of being burned alive ontop of a big pile of laptops.
42 miles per gallon = 17.8560357 kilometers per liter. According to Google. Sounds very doable. Your average Jap city car these days, already gets that, and more.
My 20 year old VW Golf Diesel goes 22 km/liter (and the motor is pretty worn out), so i really think that new cars should be able to top that.
The Mini Cooper Diesel goes 25.6 km/liter in EU mix (thats both urban driving and freeway driving) and it is not slow either.
Just because Hitler was a formal member of the Catholic Church, doesn't mean he was a Christian.
The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Christian as "one who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus; one who lives according to the teachings of Jesus."Wiki
One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.. are you really saying that Hitler was following the teachings of Jesus... you cant even say that about most of the Catholic priests (or many of the so-called Christians around the world)
Their system has 16 buttons. That wouldn't even have been enough for two of the 14 measures I voted on in last election.
You guys simply have no clue about how much we vote on.
Then dont vote on so much stuff at the same time! How hard can it be?
Or do as we do in Denmark: one paper ballot for government, one ballot for city stuff, and so on.
I know we are only 5.5 million here, but i am sure the system can be upscaled.
I would rather fill out 10 paper ballots than trust some machine which no one but the manufactor has access to.
Greenland: Too busy with awesome blond chicks, high tech data centers, and hot spas. Not interested in causing it and no one is interested in attacking it.
Since when is Greenland full of blond chicks, data centers and hot spas??
I thought Greenland was full of ice, polar bears and drunk people.. you must be thinking of Finland or something.
I had no idea that the "feature" in AVG had such an impact on websites.
I will disable the "feature" as soon as possible and tell all my friends to do the same.
AVG is in many ways a good product, but this time i think they tried to help the user just a little too much.
If I say the holocaust didn't happen, I go to jail. If I demand the torture and beheading of someone for merely drawing a cartoon picture of my religions prophet it's perfectly acceptable? I see an epic breakdown of logic here.
As a Dane, like the authors of the cartoons pictures, i have to comment.
If you encourage people to commit violent acts (like torture and beheadings) in Denmark, you go to jail (sometimes anyway).
If you say that holocaust never happen, you will be called an idiot, nothing more.
See, no breakdown in logic here. Demanding that someone is beheaded is not acceptable in Denmark, we have laws against encouraging violence.
If RIAA and MPAA get this law against P2P approved in the USA, what good will it do? American laws means nothing outside the US. Do they really think that the americans are the only ones copying their stuff?
I just hope that the danish version of MPAA and RIAA (APG-AntiPiratGruppen; Anti Piracy Group) doesn't think that this is a great idea and try to convince danish politicians that we should a law like this.
PS: I agree with most people here: It is stupid to ban something just because it CAN be used to break a law.
I really like your way of dealing with OS': use whatever works for you! I use Win XP on my main computer for gaming and watching movies, and use Debian on my little 200 Mhz server and laptop. Both my laptop and my server would not run as well on a Windows operating system as it does on Linux (and i dont want to pay for 2 windows licenses for them), so therefore i use Linux where that is best and Windows where it is best. When Linux becomes the best gaming OS, maybe I will start using Linux for gaming. Until that day I will continue to use the best OS for the job.
In Denmark we have a organisation called APG (Anti Piracy Group ~ AntiPiratGruppen). They are using the same metodes as RIAA: targeting a lot of people and saying "look, we know that you are guilty, so pay us and we will not go to court and charge you even more money".
On a few occasions they just sent people a letter saying "just fill out this form stating what copy-righted things you have on your computer and sign it and then we will send you a bill". And what proof do they have? Screen-dumbs and IP adresses. And of course most people just pay the smaller bill, not wanting to go court and pay more..

Maybe they should start using one of these again? Maybe that would convince the politicians to think again.
Changing customers password without consent?
That sounds a bit like this guy: BOFH

Are you posting this from your exchange-connected outlook or from your law office suite on your brand new vista?
Try to loose the tie before posting here, it's preventing blood from getting to your brain.
I'm not sure Ray wears a tie.
I think he wears a neckless made from the shrunken heads of RIAA lawyers.

A laptop with pre-installed Ubuntu and a good setup of Truecrypt could be really cool.

Oh, dont be alarmed.. they will put up an agency to monitor the surveillance activities:
/sarcasm
An external group comprising members appointed by the government will monitor privacy and integrity issues
The Register
sarcasm
I'm sure they will appoint people with real objectivity to this agency
Maybe it is time to move to China where my rights are secure..
This is insane. Newer thought this could happen in Sweden.
Now it will only be a matter of time before the government in my country (Denmark) will try to pass the same kind of law, i'm sure.
Tomorrow I'm calling my mobile phone company (Telia) and making sure that none of my calls are routed through Sweden.
I hope ThePirateBay.org will start to educate the swedish people on how to encrypt their communications, because they will need it.
