That's not a legitimate answer. Please read what Dan wrote in response. My original question was not a troll, it was a technical question. Sun's 65k row limit is most likely to reduce how much memory is allocated when creating or opening a spreadsheet.

I was curious to see how many people are in Dan's situation that actually need that many rows. (Dan if you're reading this, how many rows do your reports average out to?)

If there are that many people that use more than 65k rows then that would justify Sun reworking their code, perhaps even a preferences option that allow toggling on and off large spreadsheets. This would allow for the average user to not experience the unneeded overhead.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like being hindered by my apps either, but if the demand for a memory taxing feature isn't that great, why waste the time implementing it.

I once read a quote that more than 65k rows was overkill and that if you needed that many rows, you should be using a database instead. If you're not under some kind of NDA, what does your company do that they need that many rows on a spreadsheet? Can anyone else chime in on legitimate reasons to need that many rows in a spreadsheet?

I haven't purchased another blizzard game or any other one that requires a key since.

Obviously power to weight ratio is not the only thing that needs to be considered if the drone can reach that height. Other factors include operating range of the RC transceiver. Video transmission doesn't seem to be a problem. You can find a professional transmitter that can broadcast up to 2 miles LOS (though if your flying in the city LOS may be an issue). Then there's the issue of depth of field, or lack thereof. Aiming at an moving object with no concept of your distance from it is difficult. Then their wind to contend with which can vary a great amount at that altitude. It's not a issue for the drone because it is computer controlled and can compensate. If you could find a rc heli pilot that thinks they could pull it off, I'd love to hear about it.

That's not quite accurate. NT started as a reimplementation of DEC's VMS. They hired a bunch of developers out from under Digital. Now, the Win32 api may have been based off of work they collaborated with IBM on.

I couldn't disagree more. I've been using Open Office for about a year now and I have yet to have it crash on me once. As far as file compatibility, I've had better luck working with .xls files in Open Office Calc. On one occasion, attempting to print the file in Excel caused the system to lock, I couldn't even bring up the task manager (probably Microsoft hooking into the kernel for speed again). On another occasion we had a file wouldn't even open in Excel. Calc parsed it just fine. Just the other night, I had a .odt open in Writer that was located on a shared drive. I had to reboot the computer the file was located on so my fiance could use XP, but I forgot to close the document first. When I went to close the file (which had already been saved), Writer exited gracefully. Try leaving a network share open in Office XP and rebooting the server. See what happens. I'm willing to bet it won't be pretty.
