Dwarf Fortress games are often passed on, and there are tales, horrible tales, of many such fortresses. In the dark corners of the Interwebs one often hears whispers of one such fortress, one which was known by the name of... Boatmurdered.
Must have windows software? The only software that is 'must-have' when working on a computer with windows installed is Damn Small Linux. Ok, Kanotix also works well:)
I'm from slovenia and here, the atm machines are running windows NT 4. I only found this out about a half year ago when I walked up to an ATM and saw a blue screen staring at me with the windows build version on it in the upper left corner.
Sounds like it, but it won't be so easy to convince the European Court, since it has people from all over Europe, rather than just one or two countries, and some countries (France) are very open-source friendly.
The thing is, they need to release some windows code, because as things are, microsoft's media player has a large advantage concerning integration. It's hard for another company to intigrate their own product when they have no windows code (which microsoft obviously has)

As a linux user, this scares me silly.
Just imagine if microsoft lost even a few european governments and institutions as customers. Their profits would obviously be affected.

Try any of the Micromachines games (Micromachines V3 is a laugh when played on one computer)
