Skype (with this setup) is largely (let's face it) for calling POTS users. But is there a way to make a call from one of these Gigaset handsets to a Skype user, so you don't have to pay anything, or does it only have a number-pad, so you're locked into paying the 2.x Eurocents per minute?
This doesn't necessarily apply to Japan and (assuming you meant South) Korea, but I would expect that VoIP would be used more by "poorer" countries as they begin to develop, even though we in developed countries tend to see it as a luxury or a toy that is unfit for general use (regardless of the truth, that's the perception).
For example, let's look at Iraq. Cell phones are going to be huge, right? Because there's no existing landline infrastructure that they're tied to. And since VoIP is superior (in theory) to traditional POTS, once Internet access becomes more ubiquitous, I would expect VoIP to be more common than POTS, simply because people aren't currently attached to POTS; there's no reason to require that 911-ish calls come from a landline, etc. Because there's no existing infrastructure.
It is slow and crash-prone... but it is far better than anything I've ever used on Windows. Agreed, though, the Mac version is far superior (I'm a recent convert to Mac - now if only I could afford one).
When I drive, both my hands are busy (one for acceleration, one for steering), so I use something called a DigiTone to do turn signals, the horn, etc. It's basically a big-ass (3" to 6", depending on the model) button that you push and hold to do stuff; it goes through a musical scale (Do-Re-Mi) or you can just count beeps, and when it gets to the tone that you have hooked to the option you want, use it.
This would allow him to have right click if he wanted with just one switch (one tone=left, two tone=right), and it can be placed anywhere - I trigger mine with my foot, some do it with their knees, elbows, by leaning their heads to the side, whatever. Might be a bit tricky figuring out how to get the signal to the computer, but I'm sure someone's already done that part - he just needs to find the one that can do that.
He says if consumers wanted more features, they'd tell Microsoft, using the example of tabbed browsing. I would argue that if consumers knew what features they wanted, that would be true - but innovative features have to be created somewhere. Sounds like someone's got a bad case of the NIH syndrome to me...
That actually makes sense. Since you'll be using multiple XBoxes (let's say 8), it's actually 8*(40 to 80)-8 less, or... $312 to $632. And since we're talking about a used copy, we retain the whole "screwing MS by taking the loss leader and not buying the games" thing.
RTFFRO. It explains why that's only partially true - basically, it boils down to the spammers having a choice. Either they reduce the amount of email sent (good, though not perfect) or they use a larger amount of the machine's resources (in which case people start to care about de-zombifying themselves, because it affects their usage).
Frankly, I don't give a shit about Joe Sixpack. 'Course, given that it won't work for Joe Sixpack, it won't be implemented, but if it were implemented, and Joe Sixpack didn't see a difference, that's not my problem, nor do I care.
Same problem. "Hi, I'm sourceforge. What hash do I need?" A little while later... "Hi, Ralsky [and a million other spammers]. Here's a CD of email addys + *@sourceforge.net hashes. $500 sound good?"
The sum of all of *which* integers and *which* primes? Or do you mean, the limit of (1 +... + n) as n=>infinity is equal to the limit of (p_1 *... * p_n) as n => infinity?
You can do that, but install from CD will be faster (as will system recovery... always good to have a non-web version). My guess is that you're burning the iso to the CD as a file, rather than as an iso. Look for the "burn an image" or "burn an iso" option.
I'm using firefox, you insensitive clod!
Remember when a Utah search engine ("beautiful Utah") he linked to got changed to redirect to porno sites?
Really? Time consuming? cat * | grep suspicious-text
Wasn't his wife a librarian? That makes it double-plus funny.

Uh, Dr. Evil, it's the nineties now. A million dollars isn't worth all that much anymore.
Correct. What you should've said was, did it hurt the pony.

NIH == Not Invented Here

That's what extensions are for.
If you get it from the F@H folks themselves, you don't have to run Windows, either (the parent's link is to a page about the Google Toolbar).

I'm just wondering what your datasets are and why you're not storing them in a database.
WTF? If you have 64,000+ rows, doesn't that suggest that gnumeric/OO/Excel are not the right tool to be using?
TUI includes both CLI and curses-type interfaces.
It's all about the continuum. The worse the climate, the worse the flooding and extinctions. Duh.

What about running a data storage facility or colo with the HDs inside the beds?
