  1. Fat cat's carry on rolling on VPN Clients Not Allowed On Residential Service · · Score: 0

It's clear to me what's going on. The econommic squueze is having an effect on the dibidend pile for the corporates and so the executive team has decided to squeeze their customers a little harder.

Personally I find this level of service sickening, why did'nt they proclaim this earlier?Boycott any company who restricts service.

  2. The author is a fool on Microsoft Watching What You Watch · · Score: 0, Redundant

Anyone who wants to actually watch adverts is a first class idiot. Don't you see what marketing has done to you? Your so acclimatised to it, you selectively want seem to want it.

This imply's to me the White House think security is something that is corporate and so they understand it more than anyone else.

    Dangerous line of thinking.

It's not difficult once you know the way.

    Also ..

Bear in mind, that it takes time to learn marketing. Then you can sell your own skills, this factor alone causes a lot of problems until you've climbed this hurdle, takes time but everyone has to do it.

I see too much focus on the technical aspects, a professional has good people skills as well as deep technical knowledge and knows when to and not to use both.

That sums it up, being a SysAdmin is being a part manager, not everyone realises this, not everyone likes this.

What's wrong with disposal, it takes more skill to defuse than make.

It's not what you are, it's how you feel about it that's important.

A crazy world needs crazy admins.

I agree with the downturn comment, the fact more experienced people are coming onto the market, is often overlooked, this in itself is critical, make a note and put it on the wall to remind yourself.

Why can't people goto sleep and say I want to become a sysadmin?

I find the quality terrible under Linux
and a web browser keeps on popping up.

Why is Realplayer so blocky, it's terrible
    under Linux.

I would still like to know why it won't play straight off under Linux.

Can't seem to get it working, tried with Netscape Navigator, Knoqueror and Opera, all have the correct mime type audio/x-pn-realaudio
and it just won't play, I think this is because of some kind of ActiveX imbedding, although this is a guess.

Disloyalty? Few people work on a concept of the added system of loyalty and those that do are gravely in error. You don't have an allegiance with your employer, just a contract.

Don't make work personal, that's when you get caught in the bog.
