Just because the library approved of it, doesn't mean the library's users approve it as well. How would you like it if FOX news was the only game in town, footage from iraq was deemed unfit for tv, and FOX news agreed with it?
Music, good or bad, is an expression. Children checking out cds from a library are not going to turn violent after listening to one or two cds. It comes from other environmental variables, one of which I think is lack of guidance from parents. Censorship is censorship, no matter how you try to disguise it.
Gee... I'm sick of society making technological advances... The internet? Sounds like a huge security risk to me. Telephones? Nah.. someone could tap your line.
Okay, did some searching and found that at a press conference he said that the reason a mechanism was not made to clean the panels was that any ones that they could think of were not worth the extra weight that would have to be added for that mechanism.
I heard Steve Squiers say something about this when asked about it. He said that adding some mechanism to clean the panels was uneccesary for reasons of keeping it simple or something along those lines. I wonder if his mind has changed since then..?
I'm glad that NASA and JPL have had such a great success with the two rovers. Maybe the amazing results of this will inspire manpower and funding for future missions.
Unmanned robotic missions are great for doing science work, and they should definately continue without scaling back funds. However, it is equally important to continue working on human space flight simply to prove that we can do it and to prepare for the time when a human colony on the moon or mars is paved by the groundwork of unmanned missions.
I hope they can't identify information that could link you to your password... I guess most people would change it afterwards. Also, is there a possibility of abuse by this system for cracking other people's passwords?
Maybe now NASA will see this as new competition and get their act together. Even though this next era of spaceflight technology development might be motivated by money, at least it will lead to greater things...
In this case:
1)Profit
2)???
3)Science and exploration!
Already, Yahoo has follow suit to compete with gmail by widening their mailboxes. 100MB isn't one gig, but it certainly gave me some space in my box. I think I'm beginning to agree that competition is best for the consumer...
The numbers consume your soul. Oops! Did I just skip it by accident! Please save me and invite me at aldatur@yahoo.com Please. Really. I neeeeds it. My... precious...
I can see how this might be nice in a house, making it like living in a glass house without the actual windows... But I think I'd rather have real windows that I don't have to worry about running into.
I used to use Netscape all of the time. Not because it was a good browser, it actually felt too big, but because it wasn't IE. When firefox came out, I rejoiced at a small browser that didn't have all the crap that Netscape had built in. Firefox is the answer that I think many of us had been waiting for. Once it becomes more stable, more and more people will be switching over to it.
Unfortunately in today's business setting, some sort of official training is neccesary. Even if you have spent 10 years of your life working with computers every day, you still unfortunately need a college degree. I'm planning on going to college in the fall and enduring the classes while also learning through experience. I think it was Herman Hesse in Siddhartha who said something about it being impossible to be taught anything. The experience is everything...
As we come up with newer ways to block spammers, they will undoubtedly come up with more brilliant spelling errors and other methods to bypass blocks.
The time has come for real legislation to make this a crime, punishable by the law. Maybe some of it will stop from legal imprecations... My idea would be some sort of bounty hunting system... A system in which the government would set rewards for geeks who locate and inform the government of spamming distributors.
And as for those spammers overseas in China... I haven't given that any thought, maybe a great wall of some sort?
Well, I don't know how large the damaged area would be, but I'm assuming that with aiming one of those, it would be hard enough just to hit the tank itself (considering the recoil from a rocket). As for the multiple shot thing, they could always just have multiple capacitors/other electronics hooked up as instant backups.
I still don't understand how spam exists economically. I guess people are dumber than I thought:

How come all of my posts have a score of zero? And are not visible sometimes? And yes, I know it is offtopic, but if you penalize me, take a look two posts above this.

Standard Color Scheme
Legal filesharing at last!
However, it was a multiple of 5, which is a much stronger force than odd/even.

Littering on Mars? We are already bad enough here on earth, why start off the wrong way on Mars?

If you don't let people vent their anger on websites that no one will read, then they might go out and use violence to vent that anger.

So... no, Mozilla is not dead.

Maybe all of the years of human-dog companionship have resulted in some specialized evolution benefiting both...

Their business model seems a bit flawed seeing as they can only create one room. Until the technology to clone Ben Stein is discovered that is...
In my experience it has been that those who teach (college) would rather DO their own work and care less about the student.

The highest bridge? I think the longest bridge, say, one connecting Japan and the US West Coast would be awesome.
